Hi all! The lighting in my studio is finally fixed so I can use my giant tabletop! Even though I keep saying this is a 3 foot canvas, it's actually a 30"x30". I guess 36"x36" is next; then 4 feet! Anyway, this is my first large canvas and I was quite nervous so as to not waste all that paint. Originally I thought I would just do a big bloom, but I ended up tilting and spinning, and some of the tilting was done off camera as I was worried about leaving too much paint on the canvas. I really like the composition and I was able to tilt and spin off enough purple so it didn't take over. This one will get varnished and framed. Let me know what you think!

Colors/Brands/Pouring Medium Recipe:
House Paint-base aka puddle for the substrate: PPG Multi-Pro in Eggshell.
Pouring Medium aka PM Recipe: mix with all colors EXCEPT the cell activator:
Behr 8300 Untinted Deep Base Paint (Home Depot); and Valspar High Gloss Ultra Base C Untinted base (Lowe's). 50/50. Mix well. NO varnish added!
Brands/Colors mixed:
Pigments: For a 3 oz cup I add 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of pigment powder to the cup, then add enough gloss varnish (any brand; I use JoSonja gloss varnish) to cover the powder. Mix well until all pigment is thoroughly wet; then add the pouring medium.
Golden Fluid Acrylics in Iridescent Bright Gold (transparent), and Quinacridone Nickel Azo Gold (transparent). This Little Piggy pigments in Crescendo and Waterfall. Holcroft tube paint in the colors Princely Purple (transparent) and Pool Party (opaque).
Golden, Atelier, and Da Vinci Fluid Acrylics: I put about 2-2 1/2 ounces of the pouring medium into a 3 ounce cup, then squirt in color until I reach my desired shade. Mix well.
For tube paint, I added an ounce of paint (heaping tablespoon) to a 3 ounce cup, then added 2 ounces of pouring medium. If still thick I add a squirt of Golden's High Flow Medium (thins and extends acrylic colors) and stir well. All pigments are 1/8th tsp. pre-disbursed with a small amount of JoSonja Varnish to wet it (stir really well), then add into a 3 oz. cup of Pouring Medium; stir well.
Cell Activator Color: Australian Floetrol + Amsterdam Lamp Black. Approx. 3:1 Floetrol to paint.
