Curtainsiders are massive in the UK and Europe. Very easy to load and can be either unloaded on a bank through the rear doors. Or just slide the curtains either backwards or forwards and get unloaded from the deck. SOOOOO much easier than Tarping for sure.
@pedrogilcorreia4 жыл бұрын
And they have sliding roofs too, so you can load and unload from above.

Hey Dan with regard to the taut liner trailer you showed us, on Continent of Europe we use a trailer called a Euroliner which has the side curtains plus a sliding roof which is secured when closed by the back doors when you close them so you can secure the load just like a flatbed then just close up the trailer but they are expensive compared to the normal trailer.

Can't wait to see the quality of your new camera footage. I have a GoPro 8 and a GoPro 9. The 9 has an unbelievable stable mode with horizon stabilization. I do some driving videos (mostly just for me) and I can take the 9 off of my window mount using a "Snap Mount", which is a really strong magnet mount, then I attach the 9 to a Snap Mount on a lanyard around my neck and film the inside of truck stops, restaurants, etc. Even though the camera moves around when it is on my neck, it looks perfectly still on playback. It has a "steadicam" smoothness to the footage. I also found a way to make the file size match the size of my other cameras with a download form GoPro.

Lots of curtain siders here in NZ. Good for multi drop pallet work as you just need a forklift not a dock. Also if you're doing several short loads a day which is common. Tarping takes too long but as you say, you can't load overhead.

Curtain sliders are very common over here in Europe, but does not seem to be that common in the US? I'd have one of them, I'd die trying to tarp every load... maybe I'd get used to it, bet its a good work out! xD I'm not fit to do anything right now! xD
@СтепанБандера-ы8у4 жыл бұрын
It’s not common in US cuz we are using much more specific trailers for specific loads not like Europeans trailers where you can haul everything and anything in those trailers.

If they're not well maintained, they are a pain in the arse. They are also quite dangerous in windy weather. The poles used for tensioning at each end can clobber you, if you're not careful.
