I live in Georgia and I think most of us underestimated Helene...when it was over the damage was catastrophic. GA Power said they're practically having to rebuild the whole power grid throughout Georgia. I feel bad for Ashville they were literally wiped off the map with so much damage and people trying desperately to get help. I'm glad you and Bailey made it through here ok...ya'll stay safe out there on the road. 🙂🐕

I had a set of stacks on an old pickup I have, and rain would get in them and it beld that black soot soot all over the back of the caband bed. When put them on it know body had them on their pickps around here and now I see pickups and here with them on them. I was running a gas station on Route 66 and a lot of people was seeing it. Now 30 years later I still see the pickups with them on them. When I was a boy one of our neighbors had a old pickup with them on it and I wanted to have them on a pickup. It was great to see your video once again. It was good that you were ok during the hurricane or tropical storm. I saw the aerial view of I-40 near that Tennessee and North Carolina border around the 3 mile mark most of one lane is washed away. It will require a lot of hard work to put a roadies back where the wash out has occurred. Have a great vacation. I just returned from some vacation to Utah Colorado New Mexico Arizona and Oklahoma. Vacations are always awesome.

Glad your okay OMG I took a ride with my folks back in the 80s, usually they dropped their load then picked up another and headed back to west tx. That time they had to go somewhere else to load, so I ended up riding the dog from Columbus Miss. back to Odessa TX,, every old writer who talked about the joys of seeing the real country from the seat of a bus, I hope is raking coals in hell. What a long boring trip. The bad part my parents beat me back!!

I-26 noth of Asheville to TN will be closed till May 2025 and I-40 from Asheville to TN till Sept 2025 according to the NCDOT. I just hope I can make it to my Dr appointment at the Ashville VA. It's been closed all week except for the ER and patients. It was bad.. Stay safe.
