I love mine even though some demean it for its lack of power. True, 89 hp is not much but the lighter weight and better center of gravity make it a driver's car. It rewards proper shifting (for torque), heel and toe, turning in at the apex, which make up for what is lost at a stop light Grand Prix. Decades earlier the sports car movement was powered by low grunt (MGs) off the line. That's what American cars were made for, pure acceleration, and they do it well. To a lot of sports car enthusiasts in the 1950s, it was always about handling and braking. That seems passe today with cars having huge amounts of power that are rarely used. If you can, talk to someone who owns one, you might find that the car gives a great deal of enjoyment without tire-ripping acceleration.
