Hello MrHevyshevy, I always say that if you don't feel like doing something...don't, otherwise it's usually a big hassle. You're doing a great job on that there wiring! I have never tried to do what your doing there but I have quite a few wiring harnesses opened up chasing down shorts, gremlins, etc. & that can be a big headache. If I ever try something like you're doing, I would have to come back & rewatch all your videos documenting your progress. A lot of useful information on how to do this & not go nuts or lose your mind! Spoke at ya later.

I agree that electrical wiring is challenging. Especially when you have a partial harness from the engine and it's various control computers then have to figure out and make the rest of it to fit your project. The speed at which you get the 1946 Ford built is none of our business. That is for you and your family to deside. People should not be fussing so much. It is not there project. When it comes to wiring and adapting the wiring take your time and at least double of not triple check your work. You do not need an issue that could cause a fire.

I damn near smoked my brain on that as I remembered having to rewire a mess self created as I installed a new steering wheel assembly. When I got it, it was so beat up that new bearings and stuff just wasn't going to cut it so found another one that was supposed to be absolutely same same. And sure enough with it all in front of me did that swap... those ford columns are so easy that they almost change themselves. I had visions of pulling a column out of the dash an firewall. Imagine when I see a unit that could be held in one hand... thinking this is the stuff kids been wanting to use in their hot rods. Well I degrees, the horn relay musta been stuck an I plugged stuff together and it took a moment but then wires started melting and shit was going everywhere while I unhooked the power again! It really hurt a lot it did. I imagine since your so thoroughly meticulous that your diary on this to have for someday reference is about the thickness of a Jehovah Witness bible. I really am digging this build maybe for more reasons than necessary but its the stuff dreams are made of. I couldn't be happier than going through all that with ya reading off the color codes and marking in each place and the wire also where it goes and when you need to know later should the need a rise, you would have it scotched. Yeah sort all that out of a simple dang that looks cool 😎

Be sure to keep the system wires separate so that the engine can be unplugged simply without having to unplug other plugs or cut wires to get the engine out and so on. It drives me crazy when I am working on a car and to swap the transmission you have to cut the wires for the PRNDL switch because the plugs won't unplug and both sets of wires run to the same location but share the larger connector with other systems that don't have to be removed.

@ÜberlebenThanks for the detailed information. I do like my LED nightlights & the LED lightbulbs in the house. The blue headlights in other cars hurt my eyes for some reason, maybe because my eyes are so sensitive, I can see real good, day or night.

As far as the LED headlight controversy goes, I`m not so upset with the LED lighting, I`m more upset with the way the beam spills so much more light out of the intended path, up into the eyes of oncoming traffic, namely my eyes. It was also a thing back in the 80`s and 90`s, when automobile makers started putting so-called `driving lights` below the headlights. Pretty soon everyone coming at you was blinding you. Then the add-on aftermarket stuff, that`s a whole `nother sad story all its own. Funny how as time and technology advances, we still find ways to screw up the intended job to be accomplished.
