Since I moved back to wales I have found lost family from the valleys. We are all so happy. They were not actually lost as they were still in the same village but had moved. The power of facebook helped as i posted on the community page to help me find them. I have gone back to being a child again all the memories flooding back

We live in rural wales now after a stint in the city . 2019 i was out walking very early with my dogs. Unfortunate for me i was in the wrong place and was attacked . Turned out to be a illegal migrant after that city life was stressful i couldnt face going out alone. Then 2020 we decided sell up move into rural wales the peace and calm of the mountains Round me gave me back my mojo loving life again ❤

Ahhh. Lovely rambles through memory and time. Isn't it so nice to be able to sit with someone and have them really understand what you're experiencing? It's also a nice cosy expedition in the car. We know the weather is going to be the weather, but isn't it beautiful? I thought the same thing about that tree in the middle of nature's panoramic views. I love to watch the trees grow and add character, but this is a very specific view and it just seems like someone might have considered given the tree a new home, if they didn't want to cut it down. The old cemeteries there are also a true museum. I know some find them depressing, yet the earthly remains of the footprints of the past are residing there. I so appreciate the breathtaking buildings, simple and fancy, alike. Having been raised in America, I simply didn't get to see history down so many roads. This is another reason why I know I will be staying the UK, among countless other reasons. I'm looking forward to watching the seasons change. I shall be sure to check out Mr. Boaty's page. Thanks for sharing your walk down memory lane!

It amazes me how the smallest change can completely throw off your memory of an area. In one of the houses that we lived in growing up in Great Falls, Montana there was an empty lot on the corner of the block where we would play for hours. In the last 10 years a house was finally built there and for the life of me, when I drive back there the missing lot completely throws me off and I miss the turn more often than not! Change, for better or worse, just happens so gotta deal with it...

I always went one way to a friend's place, knew the road by a big house on the corner. Last time I got lost because the house was gone and I had to ring friend to ask where I was, I'd gone miles away.

It did feel exactly like that, on my part at least! I guess that’s one of the quirks of both being content creators in this social media age we live in. So although it was the first time we met in person, having inured ourselves in each other’s videos actually spending time together felt entirely natural and not at all uncomfortable…

A lovely video Sean but I was struggling with the sound especially the wind blowing on the mike, I know my hearing isn’t as good as it was, I used headphones, the part I heard the clearest was when you said how much you had paid for lunch😊I am amazed that the cars are allowed to park on either side of such narrow roads!

lovely to see the countryside around Ystradfellte and waterfall country. As Boaty said, the Milk Race ( a bike race) came up there in the 1980s and I remember going to see it with members of my cycling club 🙂 Latterly I used to spend most of my weekends there taking photographs and exloring all the waterfalls. There are even old gunpowder works there! Nearby where you stopped at the end there is a standing stone, one of a series of old stones (maens) in the area. Maen Mawr, Maen Madoc and Maen Llia). All very fascinating. You or Boaty might enjot a small book called "The Sacred and Secret Brecon Beacons". It's a lovely read looking at the geology, history and myths of the mountains 🙂

My training circuit when in Wales included the Rhiw. I’ll never forget the sense of sheer achievement in 1989 when I’d put in the hardest winter of training imaginable and I finally successfully climbed it on a 69” fixed! That same month I won the prime on the Wyche Cutting in the Malverns on the big ring, broke the record on the R25/7 and won the Junior BAR. I was flying! I’ll check out that book, I’d love to read it…

I probably clocked up 3 or 4 years worth of training and living on the Sennybridge camp and training ground. Beautiful area I miss to this day. The farmers used to make sure they had plenty of sheep in the area when the training flags were flying and live fire exercises were taking place. If the sheep accidentally wandered across the range and got blown up or shot. The MOD would compensate the farmer almost double their value at the time. Farmers were quids in 😂
