When I turned 16 in 1977, my dad gave me his 73 four-door grey Lincoln Continental with a black vinyl top and the same leather interior as this black car, but mine was grey. He bought a new 1977 Mark V. From 1977 to 1979, I put 100k miles on the car during high school. I lived 14 miles from a small town in south Georgia and then another 9 miles to school, and I drove to every away game we played. That was also when everyone rode around town every Friday and Saturday night. My dad liked to tell everyone that I wasn't happy unless I had a full tank of gas, a cigarette in my mouth, and a beer between my legs. Those were the days. I had a lot of fun in that car. I still miss it to this day.

Every time I see a big Lincoln Mercury automobile, it reminds me of Hawaii Five 0.

I used to think McGarrett drove a Continental before I found it was a Marquis/Monterey Park.

I love the 70-73 Continental Coupe. Those things are gorgeous and beautiful. Whats ironic is you see the flagship exclusive Mark IV more than you see any Continentals from 70-73 making them ultra rare

The steering wheel should be square also. Beautiful car!

So it is a rimblow. Thank you. I was trying to figure out if those kinds of steering wheels had the rimblow. Early 70s T-birds, Mark IVs, and LTDs also had those particular steering wheels.

There may be a small vacuum Leak. The cruise control motor may be the source. You can add a vacuum check valve to stop that AC droop. The headlight motors can also be a vacuum leak source

This car screams, "I'm the boss, applesauce!" The real players had chauffeurs. With guns.
@KoldingDenmark Жыл бұрын
@bongodave13 Here the owners were "old money", who were as quiet in appearence as this would be cruising down the road. You wouldn't hear or see it, if it approached from behind, untill it was pulling up in front of you.
@jakereal3604 Жыл бұрын
@@KoldingDenmark So true and they were meant to be seen and NOT heard! I can't stand when people put dual exhaust on these with turbo/free flow mufflers or cherry bombs etc. I don't mind dual exhaust my 70 Mark lll came with it, but it has 2 mufflers and 2 resonators and when you stand behind it you almost cannot hear the exhaust coming out. No rumble or babble the way it was meant to be SILENT!!!!

Oh cool S.R. 19 your in RV heaven over there in Elkhart Indiana yeah let me tell you back in November 2001 I picked up a sweet deal on a custom built park model Travel Trailer up there on Johnson rd off of CR 6 T.L. Industries I believe the first recession of 2003 caused them to shut down so they merged with a company out on the south east side of town named American 🇺🇸 travel systems they teamed up because their product line offerings were so remarkably similar

It's too bad Ford didn't incorporate their sequential turn signals on this car. It would have worked so well with three lights on each side. But if it was 1973 all over again, I go with this baby over the Imperial and Sedan DeVille.

A beautiful Lincoln Continential and a great video. I can't understand why Lincoln has stopped making at least one sedan.
@HandsomeCat-we2dq9 ай бұрын
Kind of boring design, compared to other Continentals. They really toned the design down here. I can't imagine this being a very highly prized year. All that said, the car is in excellent condition.
