465 couple up

this was filmed at tonbridge when a 465 terminated at tonbridge then coupled up to another unit to go into sidings. watch as he couple then reves up against it!!!!!!

The 'revving' is part of the 'push on' test, if you'd filmed for a few more seconds you would have seen the driver put the train in reverse to perform a 'pull away' test, this helps to check the integrity of the coupling.

Yes, they also split trains. You see this a lot with the 12 car HS1 (Class 395) splitting to make two 6 car trains at st panc.
