I worked for a financial institution & during a call, I suggested the member add a codeword (verbal password for additional security) & told him that he could use a combination of a word and a number so even if someone could guess the word he would use, the number would still need to be provided for the codeword to be correct. He said a short phrase which I recognized, but he stated was a Star Trek reference & then added 47 to which I said something about it being another Star Trek reference. His response to that was "Did you just...?" He couldn't think of how to finish the question.

Scotty also mentions it at the beginning of Star Trek Generations: "Transport complete. ...I got 47...out of one hundred fifty.

These are always phenomenal! Everytime I watch one of your compilations I find one or two clips that motivate me to rewatch the episode they were sourced from. For this one it was Darmok. Not to mention your outro quote is always a very pleasant way to depart a very pleasant video. God Bless!

Even if 47 is an in-joke, there's only so many numbers. With how many episodes of Trek there are, you could do this for many numbers. Still amusing, of course.

Your vigilance in finding repeating words or phrases continues to amaze me. I have a request, unless it was done already, Captain Picard ‘tactfully’ telling Data to STFU. Often includes Picard saying Data in a certain tone of voice to get him to stop

Seven of Nine brewed several teas while on Voyager. She went through three iterations before she settled on one she liked. She named it “Four Tea”. Janeway would frequently ask for a “Four Tea, Seven” And I wasted your life reading this comment.

Looking on IMDB, the 47th episode was season 2 episode 25, *Shades Of Gray* _"When Commander Riker comes down with a dangerous alien infection after an away mission, the only way to treat it may be through reliving his memories."_ It's rated at 3.3 /10, making it the lowest rated episode of TNG and even worse than the one where Dr Crusher has a relationship with a ghost (4.8/10).

yeah it's an in joke. If you look it up on Memory Alpha the Star Trek "canon" wiki it'll explain it in full detail but it started cause one of the writers, Joe Menosky, went to Pomona College where there's a group called the 47 society.
