Maaan, that place is incredible. I cant believe how much time it would take to go through everything there. Thousands of motorcycles and their parts!!! What a shame they are closing. It seems like there would be SOMEONE who would want to buy that place and continue selling out of it. Heck of a challenge getting two bikes out of that collection running and 100 miles...in 48 hours!

Those motorcycle salvage facilities are getting scarce. There's not one anywhere near where I live in the south. So they are not really an option for most of us. The ones for sale by owners are where the used bikes are, and the only source for rebuildable motorcycles. And they are usually in better shape than junked bikes. The ease of finding bikes and parts online is probably what put the salvage yards out of business. Sites like Marketplace and others. That's the new salvage yard.

One or both of those bikes is destined for Daytona and bike week. Cruise Main street on them. I like the drum brakes. I had a Suzuki GT 550 back in the 70s with drum brakes. I was amazed how well they worked. And my next bike with a single disk was terrible. Almost dangerous. So when setup right, drum brakes on a bike are not bad. So much for junk yard bikes. I guess there's good reason why they ended up there.
