Its so funny how mangrove snappers are literally everywhere. On every bridge piling, every mangrove island, every little hump and outcropping. Literally the most common gamefish in the keys. And they are the best eating. I think lane and yellowtail are a little better but most people dont agree with em. Where else is the most common fish, the best fish to eat. The keys are a crazy wonderful place.

Hey Ryan, this question doesn't relate to this video at all but I know you're the one to ask... Im planning to try and hit the Sebastian Inlet area for the Mullet run this fall. I've been there only once 2 years ago, and I think we were there the third week of September. The bite was pretty good. I'm curious if you think the 3rd or 4th week of September would be a good time to go this year, or if maybe the 1st week of October would be better? I don't have a lot of experience down there and I know timing is important. Any advice you can give would be awesome man. I know you are very familiar with the mullet run. Thanks, keep up the great content 🤙

It always makes my day when you post brother 🫡 keep up the good work ! Quick question. With the shark problem you have in Florida why don’t you harvest them and give them to a homeless shelter? I feel that’ll be a good practice for all fisherman.

It depends how I’m fishing, casting I like fresh mackerel, bluefish, ladyfish: something oily with tons of scent. Paddling baits via kayak I like a big Jack crevalle or sting ray

Hey ryan, I want your help on a decision im making. Im going to buy my first high-end reel, but I dont know what to go for. Im traveling the world right now so I need something that doesn't need to get sent in to the shop often. I dont care much about weight or smoothness, unlimited budget as well. Probably around the 3500-5000 range. Also, thank you for putting out all these high quality enjoyable videos. Best of luck to you and your family for years to come.

Fish heavier gear, heavy mono mainline helps. Also when a fish wraps you, loosen up and play them slow. Sometimes you can get lucky and slowly coax them out

What kind of fish do i catch? Thats a great question to ask average anglers. It would be fun to like sit in a fishing store and ask people. Me, i am a panfish bass guy. But mostly panfish. But i am trying to expand to trout and catfish and walleyes. Most people in my area are steelhead and salmon. Purely. But it is interesting to know. I dont like salmon fishing in the rivers. Its boring.

The comment about how one anger sometimes has int and one fishing the exact same setup next to the first angler doesn't. I live near the mouth of the Cheasapeake Bay and I was fishing on a friend's (he is a charter Captain who runs and owns a 58' boat and a 26 Regulator) standing right next to him. He was catching nothing and I was catching a fish every 3-4 minutes. It drove him nuts.
