The Baltic Protector deployment saw more than 3,000 personnel deployed to the Baltic region over the last few months, which involved nine different nations from NATO. The Royal Navy deployed Royal Marines from 42 Commando in a major exercise against the Estonian military. This final exercise brings the Estonian Volunteer Defence League and the Royal Marines head to head in a full-scale island assault. With the umpires managing both sides, anything can happen.

@@tucatnev123 It's not what you think it is, the Military in Britain isn't allowed to Advertise using Video Footage like this, which is an Educational Video designed to keep the British Public informed as to what the Services are doing, the British Military are confined to two minute Adverts that clearly states that it is a Recruitment Advert and they are restricted by law as to when they can Advertise for Recruits and what they can put in the Adverts and they have local Recruitment Offices

A big thanks from the USA. My older brother was in the 82nd Airborne, and he only had good things to say about the British troops that he fought alongside in Iraq. Thanks for helping keep his ass safe.Much gratitude.

I'm a volunteer soldier in the Royal Danish Army Homeguard, and i was involved in Baltic Protector with my platoon back in early June, where the Royal Marines were inserted by helicopter early in the morning in Oksbøl Denmark. My platoon acted as enemy forces to the Marines, and was tasked to hold back the Marines at all cost. Absolutely awesome experience to get see firsthand the professionalism the Royal Marines from Joint Expeditionary Forces bring to the battlefield, and to see how they operate. We did manage to shoot a few Marines, but we basically got our asses handed to us in turn. They quickly and effectively stormed our position. Their primary objective, was to seize, and neutralize a mock-up chemical weapons factory in the Brikby urban combat training center. Great experience, i hope to meet our British friends on the field of battle again. Good show lads! God speed, fight on!

All of it is rubbish to be honest. Including your post. All of this is worked out before hand, I had to do drills every month, and everything was planned out in advance. We was told that the enemy had planted a device no matter how well we defended. It is all staged and one side is bound to lose.

No countries enjoy a better relationship than Nepal and Britain. The Nepalese soldier is second to none! Martial prowess of the highest order.. I say that from proud personal experience. Only those who has served alongside Gurkha soldiers know that their legendary reputation is well deserved and often understated. If it were my decision Gurkha forces would never fall below 15,000 strong. Given unrestricted residence in the UK and guaranteed employment as border guards after 4 years service. In a 15,000 strong paramilitary border security force. I salute you my loyal friend and your entire country. - "Kaatar Hunnu Bhanda Marnu Ramro"

I'm so happy to see all European soldiers united together as one in defending our common and shared values. For most of history the European continent was a battleground but those days are gone and from now on wherever or whenever they are needed British soldiers will stand next to Belgian soldiers, and German soldiers, and French soldiers, and Spanish soldiers, and soldiers from the Baltic states, from Finland, Norway, Sweden, and so on. For whichever enemy lay ahead our soldiers fight as one and will sacrifice all to protect our European way of life and brotherhood. And of course we can't forget our allies in the USA, Canada and so on, whose soldiers will also rise when called and sacrifice everything to defend our way of life. I'm proud to be European. 💙💪 PS: Sorry for the long comment. From Dan (an Englishman)

Who are you going to defend yourself from? The Germans started the last war in Europe. They were joined by a united Europe, except for England. This war was ended by the Russians in Berlin. Now the threat to Europe is posed by the Greens and savages. Both are provoked by the USA. Now the USA is the enemy of Europe. From Russia with love.

Can you be hurt from being shot with a blank round? Also how can you perform mortar attacks without hurting the enemy in training?
@dWFnZWVr
@dWFnZWVr 3 жыл бұрын
Traditional blanks do not fire a projectile, so no. The only way historically you could hurt yourself with blanks was via the high pressure gas/air that is dispersed from the blowback. You’d need to put the weapon right against your skin to do so though. Most blank firearms the public can buy nowadays release pressure from the top of the slide, rather than the barrel. This way it’s both safer and also easier to distinguish between a real firearm, as the flash appears from the top rather than the muzzle. In military exercises, you typically have a blank firing adapter (BFA) over the muzzle, as well as blank rounds, for additional safety. So, likewise, there is no physical round that can injure you. Hits are tagged electronically, in a basic sense it’s like a highly sophisticated and accurate game of lazer quest. Live mortars are not fired towards personnel, they are merely simulated as such.

Can somebody tell me what kinda of ammunition do they use in those exercises? How do they know when someone gets ''hit''?

Referees dictate who gets hit essentially. Referees stay in contact with each other and if someone calls arty on someone or w/e the engaged party would know as every group has a referee tagging along.

I was impressed with the circumference of timbers on hand... Construction expertise in bunker building is evident but looks too shallow for adequate over-head protection...
