Soundtracks are indeed almost identical. That's because James Horner did the soundtrack for both 48 Hrs and Commando and in Commando he used some rehashed themes from 48 Hrs. He probably did that because both were action movies and came out only 3 years apart.

me and my brother as kids in the 80s used to laugh at this part, his delivery, the immediate smack in the face. But I just listened to a podcast with Bill Hader and Burr talking about this movie and Burr brought up this part so I had to search it and send it to my brother. Good times and laughs.

Wow. David Patrick Kelly's second role where he plays a guy named Luther. Also, is it just me or did he get typecast a lot as an absolute scumbag? Commando, Twin Peaks, The Crow, The Warriors, this movie. What's the deal with that?

@@CommanderCronus Actually I think he got royally f---ed up worse than the Warriors leader did by the Gramercy Riffs at the end, so it was another character with coincidentally the same name.

Angel Deville David Patrick Kelly played a lot psychotic characters in his movies like Sully in Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Commando and Bruce Willis’s Last Man Standing as Irish mob boss.
