1:30 Okay already at the beginning: From Duolingo I know the words husband as 丈夫 and wife as 妻子 but according to this exercise it's apparently completely different? I'm already lost. With some help of Google translate I'd translate the first sentence something like 丈夫和妻子在看地面计划 。But seeing how far off I am I can't even really continue learning since there is no pinyin in the video to help me understand the characters and it would take me ages to try and replicate every spoken character into the translator.

Yeah, this is a normal experience I guess. This lady is trying to speak clearly, but in the street it will never be like this sadly. It also depends where in China you are. Personally I found Shanghai, Nanjing and around this area to be easier for chinese learners. If you go to Sichuan or more South to Guangxi area, they all have stronger accent. If you to Beijing, they have their 'er' making it even more difficult for beginners, despite it supposedly being the birthplace of putonghua. So, I contend that Shanghai and surrounding areas are some of the easiest places to practice your Chinese (though many chinese people think they also have accent). Only problem in Shanghai is you will probably be getting a lot of Chinese people also wanting to practice their english .. haha.

It is a pity that such does not exist in German or other languages, where lessons are not limited to the 你 好 -niveau. Is there a possibility to change the subtitle new to German or in another language? Schade. daß so etwas nicht auch in Deutsch existiert, wo Lektionen nicht über das 你 好 -Niveau hinauskommen. Gibt es ein Verfahren, wo man die Untertitel neu auf Deutsch oder in eine andere Sprache setzen kann? I
