Because he's a Chinese nationalist and committed a crime in a very progressive state. Welcome to the Tri-State where people like that gets a light sentence. This ain't new. The only state in the Tri State, RI gives harsher punishment for crimes, CT and MA, not so much.

That’s a cognitive distortion to believe they don’t ever…they do. Do you have a confirmation bias? The African-American population is not even 14%. Therefore, consider, that out of every 100 episodes, statistically there might be 14 African Americans represented. The rest will be mostly white, with a few other races mixed in. Consider demographics whenever you ask such questions. Also, consider other factors. Many people don’t want to be part of such a show…especially if they are already stereotyped in regard to violence etc. Many things to consider, beyond the scope of this conversation.

I think she had high functioning autism if I remember correctly. I’ve worked with students like that for years. Some tend to be socially awkward, doesn’t mean it’s anything sinister. My twin sister is the exact same way. Also, she grew up in a religious household. I grew up in an extremely religious environment and she reminds me of all the people I went to church with. Nice people, but very sheltered and very odd socially at times. My family and I were the only family out of everyone there that attended public school. Everyone else attended the church for all of their K-12 schooling.
