I have hundreds of solar installations off grid, hybrid, grid sell only. The 15k Solark in my opinion can't be beat. The 200 amp pass through was a game changer. Also, the built-in smart load diversion load controller is phenomenal for both off-grid and zero export systems. I have very remote systems at high altitude and cold climates or that smart load is keeping homes from freezing with radiant floor heating for an example. Tech support is always excellent with Solark. And I continue to replace systems with grow Watts, LV 6548s of all sizes and shapes and colors. It's just not worth compromising on the hub of the system. I monitor 100 systems on PV pro. Beauty of being able to tweak each of those systems to each customer's life style remotely has been huge. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to help.

I was in your same position, and I settled down on a yiyen 10kw low frequency inverter w/o mppt. Sigineer also sells them under their name brand. I got it like 3 years ago for $1,300. The inverter is not as smart, it's only a toggle switch config so no app or wifi console. The big transformer Growatts have a noise issue w their fans. The only downside is that I had to buy Victron MPPTs. So, I monitor the battery voltage and state of charge w the Victron App. In your position I would do 1) a dumb but robust inverter 10kw, 48v + Victron Mppts 2) 2 x 6000EX-48HV with the advantage that you will have 4 mppt trackers in this configuration but there is extra cost in the wiring and breaker box for the paralleling of the inverters.

I also came from a 24 V to 48 V. I’m using Victron equipment and Battle Born Batteries, only because I didn’t have any experience before and needed something very reliable for my first build. Basically, I didn’t know anything about electricity at all. So, it took a while to learn, and I wanted to make sure I didn’t do anything that could have a real bad outcome. Good thing, I started with a 24 V system, as I shocked myself a few times. Insulate those ground wires folks!

Those MPP got a pretty high power consomption, somùething like 55W each ... which is 110W for 2 and 110*24 = 2640 Wh .. per DAY ... which is a FUCK LOT .. ! I own a voltronic 5.5kW inverter and .. it's perfect for the price (370€) BUT i would buy a victron, they are kind expensive but you won't come back from them. Now the problem with a victron is that you would lose some of your subscribers since it's an other world in a way. @Roll2 Videos ahh gotcha, I keep hearing all these new brands of hybrid inverters that are popping up. Most seem decent but I would like to see more review videos before I purchase them. So far I am leaning towards Sol-Ark 15k. The hardest thing for me is that price tag. 😢 ouch! But I want all the features that that inverter has.

This is awesome. I am looking at the same setup. The idea is to have a ups back up an a grid tie interface to offset my electric bill. I am in the same boat. Solar ark or the new 8k EG. The ark is very pricey, but the EG is not as bad. Will prowse just did a video on this unit, but he had issues with the grid tie capabilities. We are waiting for an update from signature solar on a remedy. The brand you mention is the same unit. The good news they are UL listed. I have been searching for a cheap grid tie with zero export feature. Good luck 👍

I seen the video. MegaRevo was going to send me a unit with a discount to make videos but I'm not setup and can't afford it right now. They should have given a better discount so I could have made a video of it working.

Why use all in one? Sure its convenient. When it breaks down aren't you stuck replacing it even if its only one part of it that's broken?

Great question, I do love build out systems piecing everything together, What I like about the all-in-one unit is monitoring over the internet and only victron systems can do this I do find there stuff to be top quality but expensive. Another important factor for me is some of the units are UL certified which means I could potentially grid tie in the future to the power company and get paid for sending them my access power. For home units I'd recommend all-in-one units and for RV and travel trailers I'd recommend building a system out because like you said part are easily interchangeable. Thank you so much for the question 😁

In my opinion I think all in one systems are cheaper generally speaking. I paid $3000 for base Titan unit and then $1300 for each battery but then added 2 Amphere time Lipo4 at $850 and 1 on sale for $650 vs my Growatt at $725 and now I can simply use all 4 batteries from Titan on it. I think just expandability and ability to buy any brand battery is huge money saver these days. And many parts in Growatt are replaceable.

@@Roll2Videos Yup they're a lil odd to work with due to the Anderson plug set up on them tho. Just need to buy or in my case, make a cable for them. Even the base can run on off brand batteries alone, very convenient.

Energy Dump... I know some large scale farmers that have hydro in the winter and they use the energy dump more or less as a regulator. They use heavy duty electric heaters (used or old) and wire into the elements themselves ... they automatically take and absorb or not as energy is fed them. I can contact them and find out more....

Great idea 💡. I'm running the garage off grid with a mini split for heat. I won't have any other out buildings to heat so I think the grid tie would be best for me. I've also looked at maybe a hot water tank for a energy dump have you seen that before?

@@Roll2Videos No but it makes great sense ... the thermostat will keep at temp and then maybe the extra ... overload into something else... lift pump for water storage. (I use 12 and 120 in the radio shack and have sureflow pump for when the 120 drops (for now). Less "waste" and using what one can. Also depending up area and weather ... maybe lighting for greenhouse using full spectrum bulbs at winter.. Heating blankets for batteries, warm soil, floors ... :-) keep up the good work like to see what you narrow in on. pat
