Subscribed. Purely because I do not underestimate the time effort and passion involved in making a video like this. Enjoyable all the way through, well narrated, and brilliantly paced. Thank you 👏

Haven't watched the whole video. It feels like it's got to be more than 49. Maybe they're just featuring every main species that Trek has encountered with a number of episodes greater than one.

They are indeed missing quite a few alien races. Voth, Medusans, Tarkaleans, Rigelians, and Aurelians just to name a few.

Update: The Ancient Humanoids (Progenitors) story picks up and continues in Star Trek Discovery season 5 (final season). Tune in to see what their ancient power and technology has to offer the known galaxy in the 32nd century (!?).
@linz82915 ай бұрын
32nd century is significant to galactic civilization because it's a time onland earthlings has ends conflicts to enter the galactic level.

There are some mistake, I just point out one. Remans are not "enslaved habitants". The story there goes: Vulcan had a civil war. Those VULCANS who choose logic over emotions, remianed on Vulcan. Those who choose emotions left. They became the habitans of the planets of Romulus and Remus. Those who live on the planet Romulus became the Romulans. Those who worked on the mines of Remus became the Remans. They are not "enslaved habitants" they are literally the same race evolved on 2 different planet.

1:11:40 Ok so, several of the beings featured during the Aenar segment are actually Andorians, you can easily tell, as they have blue skin colour and Aenars have white, and as you said, are blind, and they look blind. The video editor should take note, that's a very obvious blunder to make.
@roberthutchison81979 ай бұрын

I have not watched this almost 2 hour video, but id like to point out that there is an episode featuring an ancien humanoid alien species that wrote code in DNA, being responsible for all the humanoid species being...humanoid. this explanaition scratched my itch as it expains that its not coincidence that all aliens look like humans.
@linz82915 ай бұрын
Perhaps you means the ancient draconian, Reptilian, Lyrian, and others has signed some negotiated agreements to promote galactic civilization expansion. Their cooperation on the earth including to alter DNA or RNA to human, so that onland earthlings are very similar to them.

You made a few mistakes in this video, such as showing a few clips of Armus during your section on the Ba'ul. These are two completely unrelated creatures, even though they look kinda similar.
@daviddiggens88414 ай бұрын
I was looking for this comment: this video contained numerous mistakes and ommissions but since I never watched new trek I thought the mistake was on the part of kurtzman and not MV. After all Armus was the result of a race casting off their evil and not a race in of himself, so I assumed that the ba'ul was new trek screwing up trek lore once again. Good to know it wasn't that
