In this video edited by my dad. He and I go back to the White Freightliner one last time to see if we could get it to run and move it . this was the most mechanical work we have put in a video. Was it worth the effort?

Thanks for another great video Wiley and Jacob. It was interesting and enjoyable. Wow. You got it running. Good thing to remember to check the racks so the engine will not run away. Also good thing to remember you have what you need to shut the engine off if need be. Just need a few more items at you hand in case you need it. The old truck runs good. With some TLC it can be fixed up to work again. Sounds like the owner has it sold which is good. You got it to the point where it can be loaded and hauled away. Nice job Wiley and Jacob. You got it running and moving. Yeah!!!!!!!! Nice work. Thanks for sharing with us. The Iowa farm boy. Steve.

Props to him for admitting his error, I think he got too excited, wanting to get it to run and overlooked the safety side of things a little. You could see he realized his error, as his panic begin to grow, though it was not a complete run away, you could tell that the engine was going to go for it, very lucky. But props for owning up to the error.

That PB gets expensive so whats ya needs to be doing is having the old fashioned oil cans which Harbor Freight hasand shoot all them linkages with uesed motor oil, new if you got the $$$. It works wonders and if you got a day or two itll free up a bunch of them problems. Glad that one did not getaway from you i was worried for a moment in the beginnigs.

Some people give me a little flack about not using WD 40 and using the hammers. What they don’t realize is i used PB blaster several times and hood latches were still stuck. I did mess up by bringing over to far and not setting it back down. I said all that i guess to say this. If you ever have worked on anything much at all it doesn’t go as perfect as you hope it would. Those trucks just look cool. Is that the same as the one in White Line Fever? That would be a great conversion to an Edison hybrid. Diesel hybrids can power the world. I'm building one from a vw 4 cylinder diesel. Mechanical injection, manual start, and a bonus hot water supply. If the electricity is down because of an event, it's still going to run.

Have a soft spot for these one eyed "Liner's". Some (not this one) came with aluminum frame rails and aluminum front axles. They chose Jimmy engines because they were lighter than the other options for similar power. This appears to be a 318 ... Out west we were very concerned with overall weight until we went to the national system.
