Being able to instantly adjust the torque with electric motors means EVs can have crazy effective traction control systems. As the battery responds faster with more power it will always win the first stretch if not the entire launch 0-62mph. Engines deploy more of their power later on in the power curve and that pretty much explains why the AMG won the rolling race and not the drag race. Both cars are cool though! How come at 3:51 the Merc is with it's nose next to the rear wheels of the Tesla and still catching, but if you pause at the finishline he's behind the Tesla with quite a gap. Is it the go pro camera angle which makes it look like it's almost side by side? At 3:47 you can see the Merc is gaining with quite some speed difference and at 3:53 you can clearly see the front is next to the rear of the Tesla. Edit: Never mind. When I hit pause at 3:52 you can see the Tesla braking, so they already crossed the finishline there, while at 3:53 they still have to cross it. Little misediting, lol.

@@dr_emmz It's widely known in the industry that Tesla has the best software tech. This isn't anything new. Apparently, you're one of the few who doesn't know. Competing CEO's of auto manufacturers has said, publications acknowledges it, the average Joe knows it. How you failed to know is beyond me. Tesla codes their own software from the ground up for their own cars. Historically, Mercedes and practically all others 3rd parties the tech out which is canned for many other cars. They wouldn't know software from bananas. I'm confident they'll follow Tesla's lead and start to in-house their software if they haven't already or they're be even more years behind. Don't get it twisted, get informed. Furthermore, your comparison on charging with fueling is once again uneducated. The average miles driven in a day is 35 (in the US). Tesla cars have over 300 miles of range. Charging at home actually saves you more time than YOU sitting at the gas pump. How you ask? I'm not waiting for a charge when I get off work. I still have 250 miles of range left. I plug it in and go eat dinner and play with the kids. I'm not "waiting" for it to charge. I'm actually sleeping since my charge is set at 2am off peak time. Conversely, let's compare you filling up. Let's assume it takes you 5 mins to fill up. I'll even include getting in and out of the gas station as part of the 5 minutes even though we both know that's not reality a lot of the time. Nonetheless, let's assume you fill up once a week. I'm assuming that based on what we do for our gas car (yes, we have a gas car too). 5 mins a week × 4 weeks is 20 mins a month. 20 mins a month = 240 mins a year. That's 4 hours a year you're waiting to put gas. I'm waiting ZERO mins charging at home. To be fair, let's now include road trips. Americans spend 10% of the lifetime of their car taking road trips. Gas cars fill up faster than charging for these trips. It takes a Model 3 about 23 mins to fill up from 20% to 80% at a Tesla Supercharger. So yes, I fully agree it's faster to fill up a gas car on road trips than it is to charge an electric car. Which means you save more time 10% while I save more time 90%. Your mistake was made by assuming people are sitting at public chargers as their main way of charging instead of charging at home when then do it while they sleep. I wake up with a full charge every morning of 324 miles. Unless you have a gas station in your garage, you wake up with less gas every day until you're empty and spend 5 mins filling it up. Also, their is no great planning for road trips for Tesla's. You plot your destination and it automatically tells you when and where to stop for a charge. Many people do cross country trips without any issues. I drive from San Fran to LA 3 times a year in our Model S without any issues. That's a 6 hour trip. I'm not saying Mercedes are bad, I'm saying for overall value, Tesla is much better. I'm not the only one saying it, the public has spoken and Tesla will be outselling Mercedes Globally next year. Then continue to out sell them by millions more after that. Mercedes is trying to catch up to Tesla so I'll give them that but they have a long way to go.

@@ronin7645 @Ronin I think you're the one that needs to get informed here, you are completely arguing without evidence, all baseless facts I don't know where you got this facts from and I mean who made tesla the best software tech company, I completely disagree with that and please a link to the article where you saw this or the video that has facts would be highly appreciated or a link to the company or organization that gave them this award, even in videos that I've watched from renowned and professional car enthusiasts the likes of Matt from carwow and Doug, I cannot count the number of times they said in their videos that the MBUX is the best software of any car company and in a lot of other videos I've watched its the same thing, when you say best software best software in what?, is it moving the glove box switch to the tablet that makes it the best or putting 90% of the cars switches in the tablet, is it what makes it the best? Most cars do that, or is it the autopilot feature that tesla themselves said that it is not completely autonomous and should not be relied on, and even if your talking about auto pilot a lot of cars have level 3 auto pilot system some companies are even claiming level 4 autopilot systems so what are you really saying and the reason most of this cars can't completely utilize their autopilot feature is because of regulations so what are you saying, and going by what you said in the 1st comment you posted, you said "BETTER TECH" if I'm not mistaken, it's still there, you never specified whether it was software or hardware tech, you used the word TECH which means you're trying to say that tesla has better tech than the merc which I am still disagreeing to that, I mean look at the EQS compare it to any tesla in tech, you can't even, the merc is planets away from the tesla in tech, but I'm still not going to use the EQS in this comparison because it is not the best mercedes benz when it comes to tech that still goes to the s-class and the Maybach, so you trying to narrow it down to software tech only, now makes me confused because that was not your initial statement, and even if you're still talking about software tech I still think the latest MBUX is better than what ever software tech in that tesla, I really need to know what the tesla's software is better at than the MBUX at, I'll appreciate if you tell me and I will still say it in tech be it software or hardware tech mercedes benz is miles away from tesla, and I pointed out the quality, fit and finish of the tesla you ignored that, for the money that the both cars offer for what you get, I fill you get more value with the mercedes benz than the tesla, better in quality, better in tech, better in looks and design, better in attention to detail, and better in reliability than that tesla, bro telling me to get informed doesn't make you smart, intelligent or more knowledgeable especially when you can't backup your statement with facts, it's ok to love tesla and how they are ripping the hell off your pockets, but if you say that the current state of tesla is better for you fine, but I will not settle for less and pay more money, in tech bro when you're talking about cars with lots of tech you must call mercedes benz, bmw, audi before calling tesla unless you're trying to be specific about a particular type of tech which you did not do in your 1st statement and even if you want to specify back it up with evidence, see it is clear that this argument no one will agree with each others point so believe what you want to believe the truth is out there
