Here watching with 29 y/o and started having severe reactions to eggs when I was 5-8 y/o and came back after 26 y/o the last doctor I saw told me it was impossible to be allergic be because my symptoms had no hives or breathing issues so I had to self diagnosed me being sick of going to doctors and nobody seems to understand. Even in the ER they did not believe me I was having a shock due to a coffee latte with hypothermia low blood pressure, dehydrated and vomiting

I have had the same symptoms since I was a child. No allergy based on skin tests. I think this is FPIES. It is unclear if it is yolk or whites. Some cooked in products are fine (i.e. cake) but not others - egg noodles.

Hi Dr. Tam: Have you ever heard of an adult with FPIES? And if not, what would be the closest non-IgE allergy syndrome that may affect an adult? I am almost 50 years of age, and have lifelong IgE allergies to nuts that can give me an immediate full body systemic reactions that are expected and typical. BUT, I also have delayed reactions to grains and dairy that are only "gut" reactions. But my allergist doesn't believe that these reactions are food "allergy" related because with them I will have no hives, swelling of the face or rash. I had spent decades with severe vomiting, or having diarrhea, or both and could not figure it out! I spent decades feeling like someone would who has the flu, and was often severely dehydrated as well. Then, to other foods, such as oats, I only have a "skin" reactions that manifests in "dermatitis with eosinophils" when biopsied. For example, oats, lentils, beans, tomato, peppers and soy will contribute to my eczema, and often make me amazingly itchy, but I will not have hives, swelling of the face or tongue from them either. So it has actually taken me 45 years to figure out these problems were indeed food related for the very reason that the reactions are delayed and so non -typical compared to my nut allergy - and that there were so many foods to. I was always trying elimination diets to pin point just one or two. Perhaps if I didn't also have IgE allergies I would have figured this all out sooner. Because when I would reintroduce foods, I would not have an immediate reaction so I thought it must be an "ok" food. But, it also didn't help that for decades the specialists have been telling me my SEVERE eczema was not food related. Even my IBS and chronic fatigue they told me where just stress. They had every explanation in the book - including anxiety. Yes, I throw up after eating certain meals, but NO, it is not my anxiety, haha. I sure wish I could have been diagnosed instead of being made to feel it is all in my head. It would have saved years (a lifetime really) of being very sick. Celiac was ruled out by blood work that showed I had gut inflammation but not int he same way a person with Celiac would have (or so that's what my doctor said at the time). But I just don't eat ANY grains, dairy, soy, peppers, tomatoes, lentils or beans now and I am okay. All my problems have gone away. Even the chronic fatigue that they wanted me to take fibromyalgia pills for. It has been real "fun". I wish you were my allergy doctor :) Thanks for posting this video!

Same. I just went vegan for the same reason. I am extremely sensitive to milk, eggs and poultry, then broccoli and green beans. My doctors said it was impossible and left me hopeless. But I am tired of feeling sick and I need answers. The ER doctors are clueless when I get there and other doctors label me hypochondriac instead of reading a couple of books. I am 29 now

I have the adult form of FPIES and was wondering how many more times acidic my neon orange vomit is compared to standard hydrochloric acid?? This stuff can give you chemical burns!! Also how long do I have until I need veneers?? For obvious reasons...
