Are you able to wear thongs in basic training? Will you get in trouble? Also can you bring shampoos?

For males we had to get boxers from the military so should be the same for females. Obviously not boxers. And no with shampoos, you will go the PX which is like convenient store and you’ll have to buy specific kind that the drill sgts will let you get. Hope this helped.
