Thank you soo much for your comments everyone! Remember that I like to use the tips in this video for twistouts that were set on wet hair (with gel or some kind of styler that provides a little hold.) Dry twistouts are a little different since they tend to start off fluffy and with less hold already lol. Have an awesome day!

Girl I have been using a slip for years.I love my slip, especially when I have a roller set in my hair, box braids or my senegalese twists. When I wore a sew in, I use to wrap my hair and my bonnet never fit ,so I use my old slip. People just looked at me crazy but my hair used to come out looking good.

Hi! thanks soo much for the tip! My hair is not dry at all :) I have tried misting my hair with water in the past and it really does nothing for the "look" of my hair. My hair texture does not naturally have a shine to it (common for 4c hair) so to add some I use things to create some :) My hair is usually it's shiniest on the 1st day of a twistout because it is the most stretched..once it starts to fro out, it loses the shinier look.

Hi, I too have 4C hair and your tip about steam from the shower has truly worked for me. The trick is to control how much steam I get by keeping it capped until the last few minutes of my shower time. Too much steam will ruin everything! Also, haven't seen it anywhere on YT, but for me an ultra thin "cafeteria lady" hair net has been working like a charm to hold my short to medium twist out at night. Along with sleeping on a satin pillowcase, I am holding on to the definition. Re-twisting my hair nightly stressed my hair too much and caused breakage. Thanks for the tips!

I've found out that because 4C hair tends to shrink a lot, the light is unable to reflect off of it as it would straighter hair :) And that's what makes it appear duller. Healthy 4c hair does not have a high shine to it, it has more of a sheen lol. If I were to stretch my hair straight with my fingers it's shiny :) This is one thing I had to learn to accept with my fro lol. (Also sometimes the porosity level of your hair can effect the amount of shine you have.)
