girl, that twist out was everything! I'm transitioning (16mths post) and plan to chop in about 2mths. If i factor in my type 4 shrinkage, my hair is most likely going to be like yours so this has really helped in finding a way to stretch my hair for twists outs. It came out sooo bomb! So glad you're on YT, love your personality

You know what I really like about you. Apart from the obviously nice personality, I really appreciate how helpful you are. You take time to even provide links to some of the videos that would help a natural who asked a question on something specific. Other you tubers who I've actually unsubscribed from just say "watch my videos" which is not helpful at all. Not even helping you to narrow your search they can't even do. So I just want to day thank you for actually helping 4cs out there.

Thanks :) I usually just sleep on my twistouts and work with whatever I wake up to in the morning lol....resfreshing w steam. You could retwist in larger sections to maintain it better though. I cowash every 3 to 4 days right now because my scalp is sensitive. I really don't do protective styles unless it's some kind of updo, so I really try to be gentle and keep my fro as moisturized as possible lol

Hi thanks soo much! Try checking the ingredients in your products :) Things like glycerin in certain temps can cause lots of frizz lol. Try using alcohol free gels, and conditioners (if you like using conditioner as stylers) with stronger holds, as well as butters that have a little more weight to them to try to keep your hair from poofing :) If you are having frizzy ends only, it may be time for a trim :)

Once again, you cease to amaze me with these tutorials. This is about the length of my hair, and I just stretched my hair, using the cool blow dryer and tension method. It worked pretty good. And I cornrowed and rolled the ends with the rollers used for old school curls (not sure what their called). Cant wait for tomorrow, to see how it turned out. Keep doing what you do, you are such an inspiration to us true 4C naturals.

Hey, I like your page, I have tried the banding method on wet hair and then after I take it down the next day I re-moisture and then twist or braid, I haven't thought of trying it while the twist or braid are already in. I will try this thanks for the video. You are doing a great job with your natural hair.

I usually don't retwist wet twistouts because they last pretty decent on me and I get about 3 days out of them. With dry twistouts, I like to retwist or band them at night. I have a video called Maintaining my Hair Without Retwisting Nightly that may be helpful :)

I also like to wash my hair at night that way it dries overnight and I'm not sitting around all day waiting for it to dry lol. A typical, finger detangle and twist, cowash, and style setting tends to take me about an hour and a half. Then I air dry over night :D
