Thank you so much for this video. I had a P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire code come up on my 2012 Fit Sport. The engine was sounding kinda rough on idle, and gas mileage seemed to be worse as well. Followed the video and the toughest part for me was removing the wiring harness from #3 ignitor. It's a very tight space, getting the arm/wrist in and pushing the tab/pulling towards the engine with the connector. Eventually got it. Found #2 spark plug was loose- lots of soot/black debris around the ignitor coil plastic/rubber connection. The plug looked a bit burnt, but not bad. Replaced all my plugs since I had everything apart... #4 plug looked also a bit more worn. All the other ignitors looked pristine. Engine is purring like a kitten now. Thanks for your help.

I should also add that I think Honda should warranty this work. They did not properly torque the plugs, which is a known issue that causes the plugs to get loose!

So happy to hear and thank you for the feedback! I totally agree about Honda doing something about the loose plugs.

Great video! I’m thankful that I work on a 3rd generation Fit so I can manage changing plugs without all that prep work.😄

I just changed all my spark plugs and the car will not start. Unfortunately I have already thrown the old ones in the garbage. The car scans itself and isn’t throwing any codes.

Did you get it sorted? And what was wrong?

If you haven’t. Check that all the sensors were reconnected and that the battery is reconnected if you disconnected it
