Man I can’t believe I’m seeing all of my childhood racing heroes retire and move on. Great fun to see the entire career of people like Kevin harvick and tony Stewart, Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Gregg biffle, dale jr. Among others. Great memories in my life with these folks doing what they did. Time flies.

@@jerryzigler1313 indeed it does. I feel like should have said Kurt Busch as well. Didn’t always like him but I did for a long time before his career ended. Was always honest even if it was bad and later on admitted his mistakes and was always competitive. Great racing driver. As is his brother. I watch every form of motorsport except a few if I listed all it would take forever

Thanks for all the memories Kevin, We are going to miss seeing you out on the track. Your the last of the "old school drivers". You did more for the sport then you will ever know. You put smiles on faces that had been in tears and you helped with the healing. Congrats on such a successful career. #4Ever a fan!

I've watched Kevin race and been a fan since back in the truck series. Watched you go from trucks to the then Busch series. Watched you go from Busch to Cup where you took the seat of my all time favorite driver. I watched you drive the wheels off that thing at Atlanta. I knew right then you were going to make some history. Thank you Kevin! Thanks for being you. You are and will keep being a key part of the sport. We all look forward to your next chapter. Thank you to Tony Stewart also. Smoke is a smart man. He knows a winner when he sees one. He also knows Danica Patrick. 😂 Seriously guys, thanks for all the memories! I've watched from day one and remember them all. Best of luck with the broadcasting gig!

When Kevin had KHI in the truck series he was near unbeatable. I always hated to see him pull out of that series. KHI was a championship winning machine, especially with him and Ron Hornaday as driver.

I love how you bringing Keelan down to ride in the car has opened the door for other drivers to be able to include their families more in their victories. It feels so much more like a family sport when you see the drivers including their kids in their post race celebrations. I truly believe you and Keelan paved the way for that, and it is a change in NASCAR that I have really enjoyed 😊. It shows us fans that the driver is more than just a guy behind the wheel- he is a son, maybe a father, a husband, a brother, someone’s best friend. Thank you for being the trailblazer for that ❤
@hengineer Жыл бұрын
started out as the "kids drive nascar" thing the first time he did it with Keelan, then he won enough at Michigan to do it again and again, with both kids lol

Kevin, theres two moments of a lot of moments in your career that were stellar events for me. 1st and foremost you getting that 1st win in atlanta just in your 3rd start was kinda the medicine i needed after my hero left us. 2nd watching you go straight for keelan after that michigan win and put him in car with you for victory lap was over the top emotional for me man. The things that you achieved whether winning or pissing off someone in between those bookends were great things to be a part of as a fan of yours as well. But the bookend moments were everlasting and im glad that you were the one tapped to drive when Dale passed. Im sure he looked down on you pleased as punch also. Thanks catdaddy for helping so many cope when we all needed it! Go enjoy your retirement because you damn well earned it. Good luck with future and ill always be a fan brother!😉

Man I was 12 years old when Harvick won that race at Atlanta and I was already a fan but that's when I was like "hey mama.. thats my dude!!". My friends were putting"Harvick sucks.. dale jr #1" in my yearbook lol. Boy they were wrong lol. I'm 34 now and there isn't anybody else I wanna pull for like Harvick all these years. Heck I don't think I know how to pull for somebody else lol.

Kevin is the last full time driver from Winston Cup. Kurt was the last to start a cup race against big E, ironically forced into retirement by a head injury. Jeff Gordon was the last to start against Richard Petty. And when was the last time before 2023 that Richard Petty rolled into Daytona in February with no ownership in a team?
