@@benberlin57 Hey, me too! Though I must admit, the community's really tanked since the golden "first became a hit on 4chan" days. I remember first watching Ep1 of MLP:FiM on October 10th 2010... well, technically REALLY early on the 11th, but that's getting into semantics. It was the same day I first watched another new cartoon that had been getting some heavy focus on the internet for about a month or two at that point... ...Adventure Time. Back before my brother moved to the opposite side of the continent. I miss seeing and hearing from him, now I hardly get a phone call once or twice a year, and he/his interests have changed so much I hardly recognize him anymore... I'm nostalgic for an experience I can never relive or regain. It's a bittersweet memory.

IIRC, it was summer I was killing my boredom by surfing one of my libraries digital book collection websites when I happened across a comic that showed an apparently grouchy purple horse with her tail burned off. It was a fun story and then I saw it was based upon a TV show so I figured "why the heck not?" And from there the rest, as they say, is history, this summer I plan on going to my second pony convention (and by extension, my second fan convention ever).
