whats your pc specs? i have a 7800x3D and on apex 4000 is best i can do. at 8k it stutters HARD. also i had to make my mouse dpi at 5200 dpi and mouse settings at 3 on settings or else 8k doesnt work at all.

10850k 3080ti, i also tested on a 7800x3d but only up to 4k, not 8k. I wouldn't be too worried since that jump is not as significant. Also i did have some issue still with the update at 8k but not game breaking as before the update

Yes it's a Windows 11 Update, you could probably mod Windows 10 to support higher polling rates but that's way beyond me. Windows 10 is only receiving security updates if I recall until it dies in 2025

most fps games use raw input (doesnt go through windows) so updates most likey wont effect anything

From the update page: "We set out to reduce the amount of processing time it took to handle input requests by throttling and coalescing background raw mouse listeners and capping their message rate" Seems like there were still raw input listeners they cut input to during gameplay to still give the performance upgrades here, not entirely sure but a still saw performance upgrades in this video in raw input games

Wait, so if a game works with 4k or 8 polling rate is entirely about windows update? I play pubg 8k dosenmt work with that game, how can i fix that? i though it was thje game devs that had to do some kind of settings or what ever you know? i am lost.

Im on the latest windows update and latest nvidia drivers and on minecraft and fortnite i get insane stuttering over 1k hz, i have a 8k hz mouse btw. The only way to make it playable is on 500hz or lower for both games. this is not a cpu issue since i have a ryzen 7 7800x3d. Any solution other than lowering hz since i can really feel the difference of low hz

I have a GPX 2 and playing fortnite with 4k hz i get fps drops every 20 seconds same for 2k hz but on 1k hz everything ok, did u manage to find a solution ?

@@maximebouan8320 nope sadly not, just depends what games support different hz, so i change depending on the game

@@tommymurrayuk i honestly think there is no real fix to this, i also have a lot of stutters in fn and even ow, ow used to be okay on 8k hertz some weeks ago but now it drops to like 100 fps when i move around very fast, so i just recommend to stick to 1k to the games, which don't really seem to support the high polling rate mice.

oh okay, i actually just found a new setting in overwatch which is called something like "enable higher polling rates" in gameplay, weird that that is turned off by default, but now 8k works flawlessly :) i just think games like fortnite don't have that option, they are not optimized for higher polling rates but yeah. Valorant has that raw input buffer, but that guy in the vid seems to not have any issues, which I find weird but good for him

I'm on win10 and just got an x2v2 and 4k polling rate is stuttering on apex. Can't find why.

Did a understand this update wrongly? as to me their wording implies they fixed it by capping the polling rate w11 will accept, so you are using 8000 per second but w11 is blocking most of it.

On windows 11 i have input lag on my mouse. screen tearing. mouse pooling rate not stable at all.

so with 1000hz pooling rate, the game kept steering me in walls in assetto corsa. had to drop to 500hz for that game to run smooth. will give this a try and give a feedback if it fixed this issue in everygame. thank you very much!

@@Khalid_Looby i didn’t get to play assetto corsa again LMFAO. but Apex felt kind of fine. it’s worth mentioning that i mainly played tekken, so i genuinely have no idea if it actually improved

@@Khalid_Looby sorry that i got busy with some other life distractions sir. pardon me regarding that. as far as assetto corsa goes, the issue with high dpi still exists, i think apex legends felt fine so far. BeamNG steering worked perfectly fine. hope this assists you in any degree of form!

Anyone know why it lags though? in fortnite i get literally 0 fps when i move my mouse a lot and 40 fps only a little bit. Is it the amount of cpu it uses or what?

i just bought a hyperx pulsefire haste 2 at 8khz it lags when i flix my mouse really fast it doesn't lag otherwise, if i lower it to 4khz it doesn't stutter at all it's so weird, i have a 5800x3d and 6800xt i go from getting 300-400 fps and it dips down to 40-60 if i flick really fast which is mad annoying because its my play style i will admit 8khz feels so damn smooth vs 1khz i've had so many mouses from steelseries logitech glorious razer and other companies this hyperx mouse feels so smooth but the stutters ingame even in league moving my cursor makes my fps drop which is crazy kind of bums me out because i like how responsive it feels.

Yeah for AMD it still seems to be more restricted to 4k. I switched from 10850k to 7800x3d and 8k stutters in most games

did u check cpu usage when changing different pulling rates also in raw accel should set your polling rates manually

I still get massive lags in League of Legends when using 8k Hz polling rate. If i turn it back to 1k its fine. Anyone got this aswell?

League doesn't use raw input I think so it's not optimized for higher poll rates

I have constant 144fps and I tried 1000hz in Battlebit and it didn't feel right. It's way better at 500hz. It took me a while to find out what was the problem!

this is misinformation, directly from riot devs it has been stated that raw input buffer was made for high polling rate mice to reduce the performance reductions found with those mice
