I will always appreciate airlines that still use and maintain their Boeing 757’s! I still need to get on one. It’s one of my favourite planes yet I haven’t even flown it! Crazily enough haven’t flown the 777 either yet. I took a route that uses them now but back then they used 767’s. Flying my first A330 next month with Air Canada.

Nice hi def video of the incredible 757. Looked like some turbulence on the initial climb out. Sound coming from the RR 211's was excellent.

I was watching the 2017 Indie remake of The Invisible Man with Jonathan Le Billon and Sarah Navratil and now, I'm watching your Super-Fantabulous flight video. I've never been to ONT. LAX is the only airport that I've been to in the LA area. Anyhow, check your fellow passengers carefully. One of them might be invisible with a desire for world domination. I'm eagerly waiting for Vudu/Fandango to drop their price for the Dune 2 movie. In the meantime, remember to respect the sandworms.

Awesome! Just wondering, Is flight simulation a hobby for you?
@sla31
@sla31 Ай бұрын
It is not, no. I mean, I've dabbled in it from time to time, but when it all boils down, I just don't have a ton of free time to sink into it. And if I really spent the money to get a good setup, it'd mostly just sit there. I have X-Plane 11 on my iMac, but it's been months since it's even been used.

Love the video, love S Cal and love the aircraft! But I've noticed something.... when we take off with let's say 90% of engines power and reach a certain altitude, we ease the power to maybe 75% to protect the engines from premature wear. But this pilot, kept revving the engines up and down and at some point they almost idled as if he was going to land and then rev up again and so forth and so on as if he was driving a car up and down a hill. Maybe he did that to compensate for the turbulence?
@sla31
@sla31 Ай бұрын
Well, the answer to this question is above my pay grade haha. I may have a private pilots license and a general understanding of everything, but not enough to be able to confidently answer your question. So, I'll have to leave this for someone else and hope a pilot who has flown the 757 can answer it. Until then, I do appreciate you taking the time to watch my friend!

I'm curious, as someone who flies so often, was that turbulance bad or rough for you? (Irrespective of any faa classification of level of turbulence)
@sla31
@sla31 Ай бұрын
I wasn't too bad. I mean, it was more than I'm used to on most flights and departures, but it didn't bother me at all. If we were going to classify it with the FAA ranking it'd probably fall under moderate turbulence. I kind of think stuff like this makes the flight more interesting haha.

Most important subject, passenger experience. How was the cabin experience?
@sla31
@sla31 Ай бұрын
Cabin was nice. Same legroom as you'd get on the major airlines. Unfortunately it's a moot point anyway though as shortly after this flight New Pacific ended all commercial operations, so we can't fly on them anymore now. They're running all charters now, so maybe they'll be back at some point, but it doesn't look too promising.

Quick question, where were you going, thats the most f'ed up departure routing Ive ever seenout of a S. Calif. airport. ive flown out ofdamn near every airport down there including Kont several times and never seen such a rediculous departure, heading, speed, and altitude

This flight was heading to Reno. It was a strange departure for sure, but I'm not complying as it gave me much better views than it would've if we'd banked the other direction.
