Hah, your english is great! I am VERY familiar with the DS10 software!!! It is such a great way to make music. It was really the first tool of this sort that I ever used. I used it to make a few tracks for a video game that I was working on many years ago. That led to me using Garage Band, then Ableton, and on to hardware synths. I still get Korg software when I see it. I have some things on my iPad and Korg Gadget on my Nintento Switch. Anyway, best wishes and thanks very much for writing!

Thanks for Model Cycles tutorials . They are a great intro to Elektron. .. and great for advanced users as well. scientific yet down to Earth with southern hospitality. .and your demos and examples are out of this world . Compared to other tutorials that show generic boring examples. Loop op bo beets . You take the time to explain. Your examples are works of art .Thanks

You are very welcome! I'm planning to do another Model:Cycles video soon (next video or the one after that, hopefully) - about data storage, using the data structures, etc. A lot of it will apply to the Model:Samples too, so maybe sort of a combo video. Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback🙏!

Being a newcomer to the world of synths I truly appreciate your creative and atmospheric videos, dr. Nim. Congrats on 4K subscribers, totally deserved! Undulations is by far my favorite synth channel, I enjoy watching your vids with a cup of tea. Happy holidays to you and your family! ~ Dude from Moscow.

So, like 30 years ago a roommate and I tried to learn Russian by putting labels on everything. I remember "chai nik" (not sure about the spelling...) Is that "teapot"? Anyway, I appreciate the feedback - very happy to hear that the videos are helpful to somebody just getting into it👍🏻 I am having the thought that I should do some videos with that specifically in mind. Best wishes - Nim

@@undulations That's correct, "chainik" (чайник) means "teapot", also we actually use the same word for "kettle" and, of course, "chainik" is a well-known Russian slang word for "newbie", especially when it comes to inexperienced drivers or PC users. So, I'm a chainik in the synth world, haha :) If you own a Korg Electribe 2s, a video showing us your take on sound design with this underrated piece of gear is definitely on my tutorial wishlist, I'd really appreciate it.
@undulations4 жыл бұрын
@@lpchannel7316 I often think about getting an Electribe but have not. I've got the iOS iElectribe app from Korg, and I really enjoyed hearing one live at a small show that was part of Moogfest 2019 - it struck me as a very warm sound. So perhaps a tutorial someday, if I take the plunge. ps I had no idea about the other use of "chainik", very interesting, thanks!

Dude , U prob have them idk but U def should look into the Koma field kits , as they are so great for using kalimbas , and found sounds like the tagine etc , they def are the way to go if you don't want to use a Daw
@undulations4 жыл бұрын
Hey, I _do_ have them but sometimes I guess I need a reminder to include them in this sort of thing - so thank you🙏🏼 I actually got the FX kit first (even though it came out later) and have explored it quite a bit. Have not done as much with the original, but really like it too. I've been planning to do a video or two on the pair - so thanks again for the reminder, and thanks for checking out the video. ps I used the FX to make shimmering reverb for keys in a Jamuary post on IG, thought it turned out cool. instagram.com/p/B7RwBNpBfKb/?igshid=afnn9j99boma

Great video! Is your music recorder a Tascam DR-05? I was thinking of buying one to replace my Zoom H1!
@undulations4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Yes it is - I got it thinking I would upgrade someday, but haven't really seen any reason to. I feel like the functionality and quality is very nice, particularly for the money👍

@@undulations You get a real professional sound out of it, so I think I'll buy one second hand. So it handles line levels well, I take it. Thanks
@undulations4 жыл бұрын
@@SouthShoreSonics Yes, for some relatively hot line signals I run the gain down at 10-20, but have always been able to get some combo of source volume and recorder gain to work without issues. I also feel like it has really good battery life, even with rechargables👍🏻
