These train videos have become my new obsession. I love the peace I get when watching them. To my fellow anxiety sufferers out there, I suggest watching these while doing breathing exercises. Breath in 4 secs, hold 4 secs, breathe out 4 secs, hold 4 secs, and repeat. God bless all!

There was a girl in my school, and she thought watching these cabride videos are boring, but I didn’t care. She was getting confused like of how it’s exciting, then she said I’m looking at nothing. Oh pluh-eez, you see the tracks, the overhead wire, and the landscape stuff. Like, come on, can’t people just wake up and around and the video and see?

Yes you are absolutely right, it just takes different kind of people for this enjoyment, I'm interested in trains in general but also construction, a person who's a nerd into music or movies just won't be liking this, but do they really matter, there's so much uninteresting people out there, but hey, don't blame them, they're probably victims of the modern fast-paced society, coupled with stressful work to survive.

Question: On most Balkan stations (Serbian especially), why does the track closest to the station not get used? If you have 3 tracks going through a station for example, track 1 platform that is physically tied to the station and often has the waiting room, rain shelter, etc is not used. Track 2 has a smaller platform that is between Track 1 and Track 2 and is used for passenger loading, and Track 3 will be a bypass track for trains that don't stop.... Why does the smaller, farther platform get used for passenger loading and not the main one that is actually a part of the station? Example at 2:17:36, but there are many others - there was ample opportunity for the train to use the platform of the station itself, but judging by the rust, the rails are not used at all. Same at 2:56:09, 3:46:40... Seems like a common theme to not use the closest track.
@dulevoz5 жыл бұрын
The main reason for it is the purpose of the first track. The main purpose of most of these tracks was the loading and unloading of goods and working with freight wagons in the station. This is their purpose, which is dated mainly by history. On these tracks, the train would have to go slowly during the entrance and exit from station, because it does not go straight over the switches...

I noticed a Green Diesel during the turnaround - it looked like the engines I saw in what was then Yugoslavia in the early 1960's. They were part of a send to Yugoslavia during the Kennedy administration so the locomotives were called Kennedys! See if you can spot them as you watch the train going through the turnaround. Sort of a Cab Driver view "Where's Waldo"! You who have more knowledge about this can perhaps note whether my guess is correct! :o)
