The rail at union station proper is technically commuter rail not the light rail. Also the Amtrak California Zephyr stops there. The light rail stop is a few blocks up from the train hall. They are different size rail lines

Just finished the CO walk. I also lived in CO, but outside Denver in Arvada. There was a local theater ensemble that really did a good job. Arvada built something called the APEX with swimming pools et al. I love the area because there are no bugs. It is high desert. We lived in low desert in Phoenix. Neither place has bugs! You can work outsde in the yard without bugs. Downtown was fine until the train station and then the electric bikes and scooters made their entry. Soon, soon, globalization comes to Denver.

why the streets are empty?
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
People are at work. American cities tend to be much less dense than cities elsewhere.
@miki2195 жыл бұрын
but denver is a major city, the capital of colorado.. in manhattan for example theres tons of people in the street..
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
@@miki219 Yes, true but Denver is a much different place and environment than NYC. NYC is on an island and been around for a few hundred years at this point (I know not that long compared to Europe, Asia, and Africa but long enough for us). Denver has barely been around for 150 and with no port and thousands of miles to sprawl out into. LA is also spread out but with a bigger population. In the US we have lots of space and lots of big cars. Denver has 401 square kilometers and 620k people which figures out to only 1500/km2. And that isn't .even counting the sprawling suburban communities. Very few cities here are as densely populated as those on the East Coast like NYC. It's understandably difficult for people from densely populated countries to concieve of the amount of space we have.
@miki2195 жыл бұрын
@@CityWalks are miami and chicago considered densed cities ?
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
@@miki219 I would consider them to be and they aren't even that dense once you get away from downtown. They sprawl out for miles.I would say most American cities, especially the minor ones and ones in the middle, are like Denver.

If denver just got rid of on street parking they would have room for some great bike lanes.

Lately all of your videos have this odd cranky metal sound or likes someone constantly tuning a radio in the background.....it is very annoying...I don’t know if something is wrong with your equipment or something you have added to avoid You Tube copyright issues. But if something cannot be done about that background sound I will stop watching and unsubscribe
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
I understand your frustration. You many notice that it is NOT in the newer Budapest videos. I stopped using the piece of equipment once I realized the sound was there. Unfortunately, I filmed several videos on this US trip before I noticed the sound because I tend to edit them all at once and I couldn't hear the sound while walking. I believe there may be another one or two with the sound problem. I suggest turning off the sound for those if you notice it. My apologies and I totally understand how terrible the sound is and if you decide to unsubscribe. -Henry

Also, I didn't use the vertical stabilizer. You can hear the occasional sound of my adjusting my grip but that should be it. Not sure what other mechanical sounds you might have heard in this one. -Henry
