Oh. My. Gosh! Walking down memory lane! I lived in the area from 1981-1996, and specifically in Cherry Creek for 6 years with young children. Cherry Creek was THE place to go....the Arts Festival, The Tattered Cover Book Store, Kazoo and Company Toy Store, parks galore....and I walked, ran, biked, and strolled the kids everywhere in this neighborhood. One of my all-time favorite places to live. Now, eons later, kids grown up, and I'm living in Colombia, South America under quarantine, these virtual walks, hikes, and bicycling videos are a lifesaver! I'm so glad I came across yours today....I needed a little trip down memory lane! Lovely! Thanks again!

What a wonderful comment. I love hearing these personal connections to these places. Columbia sounds amazing. Stay safe and healthy and so glad you enjoyed the video. -H

wow some beautiful neighborhoods here. the houses are relatively old and very grand. Denver is a really mature city it seems.
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
Well everything is relative. There are definitely some old mansions in the area but not much more than 100 years, which by European, African, and Asian standards, is pretty recent. Still, they are pretty. Thanks for watching and the comment. -Henry

There was a huge fire over a century ago in Denver that destroyed so many wooden framed homes so the city made a law that all houses had to be made of stone. That is why you have so many lovely old homes. Denver has class.

I think KZbin has recently changed the policy on incidental music caught while filming. They allow so many seconds before it's flagged.
@CityWalks4 жыл бұрын
Relaxing Walks that would be awesome but I still get flagged occasionally and go back and fix it and reupload. I understand why they have to do that, but it is a bit of a hassle. Thanks for watching in the comment. - Henry

City Walks me too on occasionally flagged, and it’s unfair and TBH I don’t understand it. If the music is blasting in the public and we walk by, shouldn’t be a copyright violation. In fact I think it’s strictly a KZbin thing. I don’t think the copyright owner could legally win a copyright suit. I think It’s assumed by the KZbin music detection code that the music was added in, because the vast majority of the times it probably was. These walking videos are newer and being wrongly flagged, especially with my videos where I use thousands in equipment to capture pristine broadcast grade audio that records the music as if you were there. Still, the music is incidental. One of my videos is the recording of a lights festival at night and there’s music playing the entire time at the festival. I got three copyright flags and had I “fixed” it, there would have been no audio to my video. In fact KZbin couldn’t fix it either because it was music at the festival mixed in with people talking etc. the video is a write off because of KZbin’s error.

Right at the end you come to Cheesman Park. Nearly 40 years ago we went to a candlelit vigil for John Lennon just after he was shot. Right beside the beautiful atrium or whatever those Greek style collumns are called!

Thanks for doing your walks. Have you ever thought about showing your face when walking/talking too? Maybe most or all don’t in walking videos- but it doesn’t mean you have to be like them. The one guy who does videos with showing his face- it does add a nice component.
@CityWalks5 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have thought about it. Technically you can see my face on the 360vids I’ve done. ActionKid from NY shoes his sometimes but he started out without doing that and it was a fun treat to finally see his face. Thanks for the suggestion. -Henry
