The craziest part about this is that Mobile Suits were explicitly referred to as only possible through Minovksy physics. The fact that people essentially are trying to brute force their way into making something that’s supposed to be *physically impossible* is inspiring.

The fact it can move *peroid* is austonding. The sheer mass and stress on the joints to make it even move slowly has to be astronomical. As a Gundam fan. This is just mind blowing. Almost unbelievable. Give it fifty years. Hundred tops and we may have something near indistinguishable from the anime minus the beam weaponry. (Granted this *moving* in universe was thanks to Minovsky particles. But it even has its own formulations and math behind it so who knows maybe there is a real equivalent. But the idea we can make a beam rifle or even a beam saber by using an I Field to contain and shape the energy density and maintain it I don't see happening. Maybe the beam saber with electromagnetic fields?) But now i.must enter space and spend time up there. If this is possible then I must free my soul of gravity.

The biggest issue with a Gundam is it's weight. For a servo to move fast enough to be effect for combat it would need to be made of a something that could withstand the force of moving several thousand tons in seconds. All the metals and alloys we have at our disposal right now would snap under the weight. It's a beautiful dream; and great men make dreams reality; so keep it up Japan.

Ah, so it can move yet it's still not capable of keeping its own weight. I wonder how long it'll take for that bit of progress to be made. The Mobile Suit having free-range movement, or even the Saber or vulcans

The Vulcans aren’t hard tho, the actual lore specs state the Vulcans are the same ones used by today’s US fighter jets

I doubt this one will ever be able to support it's own weight. They will have made the legs as light as possible in order to make them movable. The RX-75 is probably one of the few kinds of mecha that could actually work in the real world. Maybe an OZ-08MMS Cancer since water would support it's weight easier. Both would still be highly impractical.

Really want a rear camera angle to see what's suppoting it... I doubt it's supporting its own weight. Edit: It's totally supported in a monstrous way.
