Just watched your video tour in full, thank you so much. I lived in Chorlton for 26 years and grew up on Brundretts Road. It brought back lots of memories and it was nice to see what was the old Gaumont cinema on Manchester Road and the Palace cinema on Barlow-moor-Road. Of course Chorlton-cum-Hardy refers to the latin "cum" meaning "with" joining the four areas including Hardie or Hardy which must refer to Hardy Farm which used to exist at the end of Hardy Lane towards Chorlton meadows.

I'm not from England but I can't be the only one who thinks Chorlton-Cum-Hardy sounds very funny? 😂 Reading about Bee Gees sent me here.

The building in the beginning this video named ( i believe ) The Sedge Lynn, many years ago was the Chorlton, Snooker Hall. Anyway, Peace to all.
