★ 4K 🇫🇷 Nice-Ville - Paris-Gare-de-Lyon, up to 320 Km/h TGV cab ride [10.2022]

Welcome to this new video, shot in France, showing the complete line from Nice to Paris for the first time on KZbin, and a first for this channel: a Cabride in a TGV! We'll be travelling a large part at 300km/h (320km/h at times) during our trip of more than 1000km through France, after proceeding along the splendid Côte d'Azur (French Riviera) to Marseille. We will then see the entire Mediterranean LGV (high speed line) opened in 2001 as well as the Rhône-Alpes and South-East LGVs, which opened a few decades earlier.
Please note that the camera stabilisation caused occasional jolty movements during the first 2.5 hours of the video. We're working on this problem. The sun also wasn't optimal, but during the high speed section, conditions are a lot better.

Les postes de Chevry-Cossigny et de Yerres ne sont pas des PRCI mais des PRS. Sur LGV, les PRS sont compatibles TVM300 uniquement tandis que les PRCI sont compatibles TVM430 uniquement. Les SEI (tels que ceux de la LGV Méditerranée) et les SEI+ (nouvelle technologie en cours de déploiement en remplacement des PRS et PRCI de cette ligne) peuvent être installés soit avec de la TVM300, soit avec de la TVM430.

En 1969 j'ai fait le trajet Paris Nice et vice versa en 12h00 alors que j'étais militaire et que je revenais pour une perme de 72h00. 24 heures de trajet sur 72, que de temps gagné si nous avions eu cette superbe machine qu'est le TGV. The blue and yellow signs are a particularity of High Speed Lines using the french TVM system: they delimit sections of track. When the in-cab display indicates a new speed, you need to reach that speed by the next block marker. I hope that helps!

Comme conducteur de train à l'Espagne, j'aime de voir ces vidéos faites à la France. Le chemin-de-fer Français est très agréable de voir et je joue Train Sim World avec la route Française entre Marseille et Avignon. Je voulais qu'il y ait plus des routes dans le jeu. Quand soudain, à 1h21 je vois la gare où mon arrière-arrière-grand père était chef de gare, et un peu plus tard j’entraperçois la maison familiale. Le son est réel et très atténué dans la cabine ca te berce avec les vibrations du train la sonnette du takichrongraphe est agréable si bien que tu peux t'endormir ?? DUR DUR conducteur de TGV. Alors passe dans le couloir à côté des puissants moteurs electrique et tu vas te faire arracher les oreilles c'est bien pire que se faire tirer l'oreille. SALUT.

Your NEC could become a true, end to end, High Speed Line. It easily has the population density and potential business traffic to make the cost benefit, of the necessary capital investment, stack up. It is regional airlines, road lobby and fast food giants that will try to stop it from happening. By the way, I like airplanes, cars and fast food. I just think journeys between large conurbations, up to about 500 miles (800km) are best done by high speed rail.😊

@@nicotw2000 I watched a documentary years ago about the factors that were stopping High Speed Rail from growing in the US. It claimed that the lobby groups contained regional airlines, car manufactures, tyre manufacturers, road construction companies and their suppliers, gasoline retailers, oil extraction and refining companies and fast food companies. The reason fast food was against it was a fear that high speed rail would result in a reduction in long distance road travel. This would then lead to less patronage of their roadside restaurants. I think they had the least to fear of the lobbyists. High speed rail won’t reduce the number of Truckers using Interstates and won’t reduce van driver traffic either. The most likely reduction would be in long distance bus (coach) travel. Even then I doubt it would be much because that sort of travel is going to remain very cheap compared to air, rail or car. I think the fast food companies were worried way to much about high speed rail hitting their revenues near to long distance interstates. 🙂 How many people in the north eastern US drive a private car from DC to Boston rather than use the Acella or fly? I don’t know because I am not from US but from what I have seen online the journey time in a car is usually similar to the Acella but is more stressful. DC to New York seems to be slightly faster by air than by rail (Acella) but again generally considered more stressful. This is just from watching US KZbinrs doing comparison journeys. Am I misinformed?

Excellente vidéo ! Je faisais ce parcourt quand je vivais à Villeneuve Loubet (Je prenais le TGV à Antibes). ça m'a permis de voir comment a évolué la côte d'azur depuis mon départ il y a 3 ans. J'ai fait la LGV PSE en cabine au nord de Lyon il y a quelques semaines, mais il faisait nuit. Merci de m'avoir pu voir le paysage dans ce sens là. :) (J'ai vu le paysage dans l'autre sens y'a 30 ans)

I lived 10 years in this Beautiful City of Nice before moving to Paris Where i Lived 10 more years and more, and still loving Nice. I used to take this train, it's always a charm to do this travel in both ways. At the time, the new train station Nice St-Augustin was not there yet. Thank you for the video, Merci Beaucoup.

Great Video. Up there with the videos from train drivers Ben Elias and Don Coffey (both show great "driver view' videos from Britain). The sciens from the south of France area are outstanding and the high speed section something to see. You really get a sense of speed when you see how fast the staunchens, holding up the over head wires, pass the window. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for this vid. We did this ride by TER from Nice to Barcelona this summer. From Barcelona by Perpignan by regional and TER and from there by TGV to Paris. Amazing comfort.

I took this exact route over the summer, and it was a truly breathtaking trip. Amazing scenery pretty much all the way. I just kept wondering if there are two drivers or not, because it must be hell to drive a train for upwards of 5 hours without a toilet break... 😆

La vidéo est récente, les deux tours jumelles de Jean Nouvel porte d Ivry sont terminées et la belle rénovation de la petite verrière de la Gare de Lyon est en cours. I wanted to ask for this confirmations/answers: a) the train made 2 stops: Toulon and Aix-en-Provence skipping Marseille, Avignon, Valence and Lyon; it's right b) At 1:37:35 the following is displayed: “Toulon ꝉ 30 m”; is the distance from the station's guard signal c) At 1:38:55 as soon as you leave Toulon on the right, 120/km/h is displayed; is the maximum speed of the next journey d) From 2:33:30 (departure from Aix-en-Provence) to 2:23:44, i.e. in 1 minute and 14 seconds, the train reached 300 km/h; it's possible e) at what point the train reached 320 km/h; maybe I missed it f) the total number of kilometers travelled Thanks to whoever will answer me. Hello Franco, i can answer to our questions. a/ yes the train have 2 stops only, Toulon and Aix, you're right. b/ Toulon 30m is the altitud of the railway station. c/ on the classic line between Nice to Marseille the max speed reached by the train is 150 km/h. d/the train benefits from a very advantageous line profile from aix towards paris and can therefore quickly reach 300. e/ listen just after 2:40:50 there is first beep indicates 270 kmh, max and few seconds after in the tunnel there is second beep means the train si free from vmax270 and he can go to 320 ! and look at the exit of the tunnel there is a big slope which allows the train to reach again very quickly 320. f/ 973 kilometers from Nice to Paris
