Put an extreme automatics pump plate in between the 2 pump halves.

You can buy big hose clamps at oreillys or Napa. I put 2 together, a 5-7 inch and a 3-4 inch iirc. Works good for pump line up

put a couple big hose clamps together, slip it around the pump diameter to align it while you tighten the bolts. or you can throw it in the case upside down and tighten it there

With the pump out and apart, would be a good time to do the cover seal!

I find that a small chisel works better than a screwdriver to remove the pump seal. A wet and dry vacuum would easily suck up any filings the drill left in your pump. Thanks for all the great videos.

I did the Sonnax L2L valve on my rebuild like 8 years ago in my sierra. The truck has a 408 stroker LS. I ran a couple different cams on the truck, but always seemed to get some surging in neutral and park and a mildly in gear. No matter what I do to the tune I can’t seem to get rid of it. Is this mod even necessary with the valve in place?

No shouldn't need to drill it if you have the valve.

Sonnax makes end plugs for tcc valve I see them leak all the time really cheap insurance when it comes to keeping your converter clutch alive.
