Getting into overland and will be getting a 4runner sometime in november or december; is it necessary to get trd offroad for the locker or are lockers not necessary?

At some point they will become necessary, but you could get pretty far down that trail without them. I personally enjoy both having and not having because of the different characteristics and decision making process. Basically w/o lockers you’ll learn how to off-road better because it’s more challenging. You’ll really have to learn how to drive the line you’ve selected based on the vehicle’s limitations, which to me is all part of the fun.

I fell in love with the iKamper once I saw how simple it was to setup and how comfy the mattress is. I totally get why ppl love these things 🤙🍻

I’m more of an essential parts before fancy lights guy… until this last weekend when I was crawling through the Rubicon trail at 11:30pm and wanting a little more illumination. If it were my build, extra lighting would be the last thing on my list of todo’s. I’d benefit more from a fridge or small kitchen setup.

I’ve kinda been looking at the ikamper cooking system they have (Aioks) it’s kinda expensive and I’m not fully sold on it yet. Have any other suggestions for cooking
