Corr’s fundamentals are nothing short of perfect. Independent of the end results, it really is a masterclass on perfect form to watch her shoot

They used to say the same about Allison Fisher.. I suppose being weened on snooker has its benefits.

@@dougoverhoff7568 Even english black ball players have great fundamentals. Look at gareth potts.

@@miamiwax5504 I'm not familiar with Gareth, or any of the newer players. But, If he has any snooker in his background, I'm sure that it has served him well in the development of the fundamentals and form.

@@dougoverhoff7568 Jayson shaw is a world champion black ball player. I believe chris melling is too. They are all very accurate and very good with position. Also if u want to see rock solid fundamentals watch some chinese 8 ball. Those guys are cue surgeons. Even snooker champs cant come close to beating them.

@@miamiwax5504 Interesting about the Chinese. But Shaw and Melling I've seen, and they are both excellent players. My days of playing tournament pool are long since passed. But, I can appreciate quality play when I see it still. I'll try to check out those Chinese players. Thanks!

It would have been more interesting if we could have heard the commentary. Why are they afraid to turn up the volume? We can always turn our volume down, but we can only go up so far.

GREEN TABLE IS RELAXING TO WATCH. I Don't like blue table.

34:50 was a good hit. If you go at the slowest speed, he hit the 2 before the 5. He gave her ball in hand on a good hit

Don’t even need to slow it down... it’s noticeable at normal speed... i was waiting for it so I suppose it makes it easier for me to spot...

Did Jason Shaw realize he gave the ball and hand for no reason 34 minutes from now

Corr was first pro player I could really watch to learn fundamentals cause they always seemed to play her matches on espn before youtube days (that and trick shots). I know it seems like she play a lot of safeties, but it's not cause she isn't as good, but in her time (early 2000s) they all played 9 ball more conservatively, no combos all the time and what not, and would safeties were much more common part of the game, and they played just like Corr does here. Not saying I liked it better, but I just remember. She was really a top player.

Yeah now I think the filapanos have elevated the cue ball control game so much, that 9 ball today, you always set up next shot and accept more missed shots, where Karen, and even Strickland (Strickland vs SVB tourning stone final, Strickland hooked himself a number of times against SVB.) don't miss shots but will hook themselves from time to time, which was the style of late 90s early 2000s and Efren being able to keep the shot level as high, or higher and go more 70% setup and take on crazier setups was what allowed him to be such an undefeatable player. And it's no surprise today that we see much more daring shots and positional play. Always elevating the level of the game.

Karen you could have won if Shaw didn't distract the table with his antics.

No disrespect but that was the worst lag in history.

At 1:05:50 why did she have to shoot again?

Bc they play with the rule calling shots / safety. When calling a safety it's the opponent's turn. When calling a ball and missing, then the opponent can give back the shot. The idea is to reduce a player's luck when missing.

I much prefer to watch pool on the green felted tables
