Glad you’ve gotten the Tundra & started content on it…I walked into a dealership looking for a ‘24 Tacoma and drove out with a ‘24 Tundra😅

Exactly what I did to. Was going to get a black off road tacoma test drove it and then checked out the tundra lol. Was blown away by the tundra and the power is insane compared to a tacoma. Didn't expect to bring a tundra limited off road home that day. Very close in price now and not that much bigger. You get more of a truck with the tundra they're sick asf. Then that rear sliding window had me sold 😂

Talon, I would love to see your spin on a matching color bed cap with a bed and storage solution/ kitchen with the Tundra. More relatable than a GFC or any other pop up bed camper. A GFC would be dope. Stoked for Kimbo content with the Tundra!

Always enjoy your videos bro. Question. After watching this video. If you only had to pick one either the tundra or the Tacoma. Which would you pick?
@TalonSei27 күн бұрын
For my purposes (overloading, camping, tough trails, etc) I would say the Tacoma. If it was more of a daily driver, work truck, hauling things around, occasional camp / overloading etc... I would say the Tundra.

Excellent content, thank you for your detailed information! My Tacoma TRD Pro is finally coming into the dealer by the end of this week! I will be interested seeing what you do with your underneath body armor. I’m planning on going with 35” tires, 17” wheels, Westcott collar lift and rock rails. Love the wrap & detailing on your Pro!

I know u went with 37’s but the head scratcher for me is a Tacoma with a factory 3 inch lift allows for a matching 35’s in the spare space . But a Tundra with the factory 3 inch lift allows u to fit 35’s on the truck also, but not a matching spare underneath? That’s nuts it’s a bigger truck!

Are you concerned about the lack of frame bump stops and the two piece design of the front shock mounts of the Tacoma?

Not with the FOX QS3. On other models I might be but there is a super simple inexpensive fix so it’s not that big of a deal.

Do you or anyone know what package(s) include the 14 inch display for tundra?
@TalonSei4 ай бұрын
Toyota calls it the “premium audio package” but it doesn’t include the JBL speakers. Their packages are super strange and you really have to read into them or build one out online to be able to see all the differences.

The tacoma is an overall better truck. It does everything. It can tow despite what people try to say. It's better for driving around town and way better to offroad. I've had both now so saying this from experience. I don't think there's a point to have a bigger truck unless you seriously need to tow big so just get a diesel. Oh and the turning radius is a joke. Only thing a tundra has is yeah the power blows the tacoma away that's it alot of power.

It’s drives fine . What is question is long term durability and reliability
@jbcope10004 ай бұрын
@MrCovert23 I usually get a new truck at 100k miles. It'll be fine until then. If not, the warranty will cover it. 2.4 has been fine in the lexus for the past 3 years. Toyota is usually a safe bet. Even on the tundra with its engine problems, they're making it right. If you wait for everything to be fully proven, you're only going to drive old vehicles, which come with their own problems.

Third gen Tacoma is better than 4th gen Tacoma for the following reasons; 1) cheaper priced 2) seats are better and more room 3) v6 engine is better than 4 cylinder hybrid. More reliable 4) reliability and less tech to break 5) too many gimmicks on the 4th gen Tacoma
@sammyjammy66473 ай бұрын
lol your list is silly. You must own a third GEN and are really biased. 1) yes third is cheaper price, but you’re getting less. For example, the third GEN is not even box frame like the new one. 2) i’m not sure what reality you’re in but seats are there one of the biggest complaints about the third GEN and that’s what was fixed, seating position specifically 3) no the V6 engine is not better. The V6 was sluggish and you had to ring it out past 5000 RPM to get anything out of it. the four-cylinder turbo gets its torque much earlier and is just a better engine all around. Ask people who own the current one compared to the past one. 4) way too early in the fourth GEN cycle to make a claim of reliability 5) the only gimmick I agree with you on will be on the TRD Pro with those isometric seats or whatever they’re called. What other gimmick or gimmicks are you talking about?
