Fourth of July Parade
This year’s parade theme is in honor of the upcoming 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where Crescent City and its sister city, Rikuzentakata, will be featured because of an unlikely friendship that was forged from a tiny, barnacle-covered boat.

This was my first 4th of July in Crescent City and my first local parade. I enjoyed the small-town feel and the nostalgia that took me back to my own childhood parades back in Meadville, PA. My favorite part of the parade was the guy in the Bigfoot costume, of course.
