One day i want to visit your beautiful country and see the Grand Canyon and Washington D.C. Also I want to say thanks to Leandro for all the awesome videos and wish you and all other Americans an awesome 4th Of July! Greetings from Germany :)

I love that you don’t just mix a drink together, taste it and say “mmm absolutely amazing”. We get like a science/history class about the drinks you make which is in fact ABSOLUTELY AMAZING

Appreciate the historical shrub explanation. And here I thought it was a relatively new concept first introduced to me about 7 years ago at an interesting Colorado bar. (It has since become a fairly common bar ingredient across this fair land of ours.) At the time I asked the barkeep what the deal was with the word “shrub”. She had no idea yet she made about 10 varieties the week before.

Leandro, I thought a shrub is a guy who thinks he's fly. Sorry couldn't resist! Great Channel, I really enjoy the videos. All the best!

Could you float some heavy cream on top instead of soda? Would that be too weird with curacao? I think it'd go good with the shrub but not sure about curacao.

Stunning!!! Leandro, i don’t know if you did, but speaking of good quality blue curaçao, what’s your opinion on Marie Brizard’s, compared with Giffard’s? Thanks!

I like Marie Brizzard products although I like Giffard better. I use both

It’s cherry season, so I made a Cherry Shrub that turned out great. 250g of pitted fresh cherries to 250g of sugar in a food processor, purée that then strain out any solids using a nut milk bag, add the same volume of apple cider vinegar to the cherry syrup. had some Gin that I infused with Butterfly Pea Flower blossoms to make a color changing cocktail (when you add acid, like citrus juice it turns a dark purple). So I mixed the Cherry Shrub with lemon juice and added the royal blue Gin. The drink works. It’s balanced, a good strong cherry flavor with a lot of floral and botanicals. And the end result is a very pretty purple colored cocktail. I was serving it up in a frozen Coupe. I think for presentation next time I’ll serve the chilled Shrub and Lemon juice separately and have my guest pour that into the iced dark blue Gin.

You could have tried using crushed/pebble ice on the top of the glass for the top layer to stay more white ;)

About the blue curacao: The compount called E133 it contains seems to be really unhealthy. Do you think it is possible to somehow take a regular curacao and combine it with some kind of "blue pea flower tea syrup" to make your own blue curacao?
@GizmoFan15 жыл бұрын
Little late, but: you can use butterfly pea blossoms on their own to do this. Let them soak in the curacao and it'll leach the color out.
@yuzuu31715 жыл бұрын
@@GizmoFan1 Yeah I've found about the blue blue pea flowers too. They even change the color to purple when you add lemon juice :D

The only blue curaçao available in my area is the cheap bottom shelf stuff that sells for $5 per 750ml, but high quality clear curaçao is all over the place. Couldn't I just get an extra bottle of the good clear stuff and dye it blue with food coloring, or is there something else that goes into blue curaçao?

Tom Ryan I’ve never tried it but sounds sensible. Try it and let me know what happens!

I loved the video from last year, Leondro. I mean, I loved how much you hated those cocktails lol. I dont think I have seen a video since or before where you expressed such a displeasure. Perhaps a new channel "Basic Barfly Bitch Cocktails for bitches"?
