Our custom built Ford Bronco Power Wheels go kart drives for the first time! We still have a ton of optimization and tuning to do on this go kart, including swapping to a much shorter gear ratio (the theoretical top speed is over 100mph, but acceleration is poor and it's hard on the torque converter belt), fabricating and installing a floor, hand controls for gas and brake, and stiffening the suspension. So far, it's great! Definitely one of the smoothest first drive's we've had. The steering radius isn't great, and we're limited by the CV axles in the front suspension, and because both front and rear axles are always locked, it tends to understeer on tight corners. Other than that, this thing is great.
Thanks for Watching!

Stretch the frame and raise the engine a bit (if necessary) to be able to get a proper steering angle. No reason for it to be this small- just looks uncomfortable for both of you. Would be way more fun if you can sit in it for more than 20min!

Why does John think everything they build has to be wrecked by jumping or going faster than is safe risking an accident -- this is one of your best builds EVER and it's not finished. Ike thinks it's puttering along, I think it was going about as fast anything that small (THAT CARRIES full size adults) should go. I'd love to see something you build stay together fer ever. You can usually gain a little height on your tires by over inflating them and leaving them out in the hot sun. After their stretch session you can drop the psi to the desired level for use. This is very useful when you have a zero turn mower that likes to vere one way or the other due to different tire heights and you've used up all your adjustment.

I would suggest a quick release mecanism for the wheel. It will help you get in and out easier as well as extend the wheel towards the driver and for both of your heights and seating positions it would only make it a little bit more comfy and allow your arms some improved movement when your zipping through the woods. Aesthetically its by far one of my favorite builds so far.

Great job but from a mechanical standpoint the way you have it set up your tires need to be the same size front and rear like a real awd or since you have no transfer case . You will end up with front and rear axles trying to turn at different rates causing binding in drive system.
