I just found your channel a couple days ago and I really believe it'll take off soon. Lots of people had a bunch of tragedy the last few years, and don't have the money for travel anymore. So they travel on KZbin, they seek out content like yours. I love your style, and your family seems really nice. You have good taste and filming skills. Your channel is enjoyable. I found you through your brother's channel, but I like yours more. I'm a nature lover and share lots of your same hobbies. It's really great to know that there's people like you out there.

Thank you I really appreciate that! It’s been fun making the video’s and we are always taking trips so it made sense to get the channel started. It’s been slowly picking up and I’m always happy to see the comments and subscribers growing. I have another video with the Dodge to edit and a Kei truck video that is close to posting so my goal is to get a bit more consistent with posting for this coming year but it’s definitely a labor of love! Thanks for watching!

Thanks! I should be finishing another video soon. Work has been busy and dividing up camper building with trips hasn’t left much editing time but I have another few in the works!

Great video! I noticed your dash pad. My dash is pretty much gone! But it really makes for great storage! 😆

Thanks for watching! Yeah those dashboards seem to get pretty weathered but it adds character ha ha! I think my dash pad came from Geno’s, it’s nice because I can charge my camp lights and other solar stuff on the dash while we are driving and it doesn’t slide around anymore 👍

I have a 97 Dodge 12V as well. Use to have an Alakan Camper but unfortunately had to get rid of it 21 years ago. :(
@OlympicOverland3 жыл бұрын
97 is a good year! There are still plenty of old Alaskans here in the Northwest so if you decide you need another one this is the place to look 👌

@@OlympicOverland I got a Leer 121 shell for my 12 valve and splurged and bought a used 32' Fleetwood motorhome.

what are those rocker steps? What suspension are you running?
@OlympicOverland4 жыл бұрын
Hi, the steps are from N Fab and are built really well plus fit nice, I would recommend them. The suspension is nothing fancy, just a 6” lift that was on the truck when we bought it. It rides a bit softer than our old Ford F-250. Everything has been freshened up and it has a steering brace and stabilizers. The tires are 35” KO2’s. We will probably look into some King or Fox suspension down the road but for now I’m happy with the current setup. I can snap some pics if it if you want, just let me know 👍

@@OlympicOverland thanks I'm running an 02 Cummins, putting a flatbed fwc on this weekend, still rides terrible hoping the weight in the back will change it on the rutted Arizona roads.

@@OlympicOverland i've been encouraged to look at thuren for a camper suspension. I will likely follow your lead on the nfab, looks great.
@OlympicOverland4 жыл бұрын
I’ve heard great things about Thuren so that’s probably a good way to go. In the meantime putting some weight on it will help smooth things out for sure! Send some pics when you get the camper mounted up👍

What year model is the truck & camper?
@OlympicOverland4 жыл бұрын
Jack, 1995 Dodge Cummins and our 1970 Alaskan Camper. That camper is awesome and has been on a ton of trips over the last 10 years that we have owned it. It’s held up great in the Pacific Northwest rain considering it’s over 50 years old now! I have another video of it on my old Ford diesel that shows more of the interior and talks about the history of Alaskan Campers. 👍

Great video, but the music overpowers your voices

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, my microphone setup wasn’t very good back then and it was tricky to mix the sound in the editing program that I was using at the time. I’ve been slowly building up better gear and am now on a new editing program so the sound is getting better 👍
