FWIW I have the front Hammerhead bumper for my 05 Excursion and its' fitment is actually really nice with minimal gaps. I will say though that 4 out of the 8 bolts were super easy and the other 4 were pretty hard to get installed. I was hoping to add the rear bumper from Hammerhead but after watching your video I may hold off on that.

Maybe try calling them and asking, it looks great I just cant believe the gap it had - part of me thinks I was sent the wrong mounting brackets, but customer service never called back!

That bumper has brackets designed for a superduty. Poke around the tube and you'll see numerous people having to modify the brackets to work with the X by shortening them significantly if the bumpers original intended purpose was an F-series, otherwise the they stick out and look like yours does/did.

Got them from CarID but this was years ago - not sure they still sell them.

you would've been better off just buying a length of heavy steel box tube and welding up your own.

Would need to learn how to weld! It is on the list of things to do as I have so many project that require welding skills.
