I love everything about Storyteller other than the portable potty. I go snowboarding for about a couple of months a year, so it should be a perfect van for me. I also hesitate in this situation that when it starts to rain and snow, a couple of friends hang out in the ST, and a person needs to use the toilet. The only way is to take the potty outside. How stressful will it be?

Whenever I think about the STO (amazing power) versus the Revel I thnk of your final shot. Rainy clothes need a spot to hang. Or wet dog blankets or whatever. It is why I love the dedicated bathoom on the Revel. How they did not put a volta system in it (like the Winnie Boldt) is criminal to me.

Coco, almost 2 years in a STO. Myself and other owners usually just hang wet jackets or clothes from hooks on the walls and can hang over shower basin. Can also just hang them from the back of the front seats. Definitely not an issue.

Relocated my Espar system and added a secondary heat exchanger / engine circulating pump in SoCal at Agile.

Great video! How much solar would you recommend for a week off-grid in this van for two people (driving around some every day)? I’m torn between maxing out the solar panels and leaving some roof space for storage.

If you’re driving any day, you can get away with no solar at all. When comes with the van would be enough.

@@TalonSei Thanks. That's the impression I got from one of your other videos I watched after this one. It seems like two people using the electrical system at a reasonable (or even slightly above reasonable) level parked for 23 hours and driving for one hour could get by with little or no solar pretty much indefinitely. In other words, you would run out of water before you ran out of power. Is that right?

Thanks for the real world use of the van! For extra fuel, is that just 2 of the 2 gallon rotopax on the back? Any specific reason you mount the water and fuel toward the top? Thanks.

Correct. 2 gallon packs. I didn’t mount them because the van is not mine, that’s just how it came to me.

Nooo. Vans are off as soon as we park, it’s not good to idle newer diesels with the DEF and DPF system. These vans all have espar diesel heaters that sip from the sprinter tank and are powered by the Lithium system.
