Take a 45-year-old Range Rover. Add the world’s longest and most remote cattle route. Mix in a bowl. Add two Germans, two English blokes and an Iraqi Uber Eats Driver. And what do you get?
Sometimes sweet, often spicy. Never bitter.

Amazing Andrew. One of the best without a doubt, I watched from 1 - 12, and could not stop. Ah man, soooo good!

I have to say, this is one of the most engaging and educational series I have ever watched from you Andrew. I am glad that you have done this and I hope it inspires you to do other long treks w/mates in the future. And the humor has gotten better and better the further into the series I go.
OMG "Strange Lover"
Cheers!

Hi Andrew
Just finished binge watching the series - excellent as always. I came away with a thought / challenge for you - you say the best ride was the Rangie (at approx 20k AUSD) The cost of a new Troopy plus conversion is around R180k AUSD - I believe you could take that 160k difference and produce the ultimate Range Rover tourer - after all you said you were not sure what to do with it?
Roller Angel1 year ago
haha, do it, that would be awesome, not to your Range Rover but perhaps modify another one like that.
Mark Rose1 year ago
Heiner is really funny. There is magic here. I hope you lot can do another adventure together. Kind of reminds me of the Hammond, Clarkson, and May.

Were you able to do any well repairs which you had planned for? How about an episode specifically about the wells?

Honestly - how many videos can combine the Canning Stock Route with Peter Cook and Dudley Moore?

So fun this series...
I have had that same handbrake issue with my FJ62. Just loosen the adjuster and don't use the handbrake until your home is the solution.

I could not get myself to stop watching it! I love the whole process, the details, the explanations and of course the banter ( me underestimating you as an old grumpy man with no mood for banter). A remarkable piece of journalism properly done that makes you want to be present there with you! Well done and many more series like this one. We are all fed up with the expert journalists making rigged reviews feeding frenzy on specifications and numbers but without touching on the limits of user experience.🎉

Itchy Boots, Noraly Shoenmaker, is my all time overland favorite. Because if she can do her trips all alone on a motorcycle all over the world I can do my tiny trips with my small family in Central America. Noraly is my #1 inspiration.

Ah it is so much fun to watch and for me important.... it shows the soul of such a trip.... enjoying nature, friends, the cars, the challenge and the whole thing together. And it is a lifestyle, like you - Andrew - said recently in your podcast..... the trip itself and in the time till the next trip is taking place, you start thinking of preparing the next one. So to speak you are always "doing the overland thing".

Your vehicles are the best-looking overlanders I've ever seen. So clean and professional-looking. I wish I could make my Subaru Forester look like that, but it'd be entirely pointless to spend all that money on such a car.

Not true, done it many times. Ive actually lived in the outback unlike many armchair 4wd experts out there. Certainly wouldn't do it in a more modern one, but the older ones are fine with good prep.
Just try to use a cool gadget 😍
