Why are people that can't even afford cars like the GTR so stuck on them and protecting it like it's gods gift? Someone took an affordable car and put it up against a car that cost more brand new than most people make in two years and did a good job. There is always a faster car out there period no matter what band wagon you're on. This GTR hype is getting annoyingly old

GTR is a nice car but i agree. the mustang is not meant to compete with a GTR from the factory but people make them. there are honda civics that can torch $100k cars it's all about the mods.

It looks like the GTR slowed down in the last seconds because you can see the car back go down like its braking and then you can see that the driver is not pressing the gas as hard. you'll see 34-35 the gtr has a big jump then you can see after that is just glades not speeding.

GTRs are the quickest street cars, untouchable on street when modded. Gtr mild to wild and gets the power down. Mustang = no traction on the street where 99% of the driving occurs, extra supercharger goes up in wheelspin. $hit focus quality

+Muscle Toe OK yeah, but so is the GTR. Even if you say they are both even, the point is that the GTR is a $100,000 while that mustang is $37,000. I mean, if you REALLY wanted to compare cars from ford and Nissan, the 2016 GT350R is for $60,000 and is NOT supercharged. I mean, throw in a supercahrger, you're running a little under $70,000. So if this Mustang can do that much for $37,000, imagine what a modern Shelby can do SUPERCHARGED. For a fraction of the price.

Mustang GT350R will easily take the GTR on most tracks....especially longer ones. If the Z28 can, better bet the house the new GT350R can! I LOVE both cars and will be buying the new 2016 Mustang GT premium with performance package and Rousch SC. All for 48K Talk about performance bargain! 627hp for under 50k can't be beat...

Crap race. 1) it wasn't dead start. Anything dead start against a GTR looses. 2) its a stang. It's nice and all, but gtr would theoretically win quarter mile. But this video doesnt make any sense. What speed did they start at, when did they start, how far they went. So its just the vid that messes it up Oh and everyone calling it a skyline...its not a skyline. The r33 and r34 were skylines.
