5-24-2022 - Severe Thunderstorm With 80mph Wind And A Cool Lightning Show With LOUD Thunder!

This storm was large and powerful! There was possible rotation throughout the whole storm along with damaging straight-line winds that knocked out power in some locations! I've noticed the power-grid in my location must be pretty well put together because I actually rarely lose electricity lol. This storm was a very fast moving storm, if you look closely you can see the wall-cloud illuminated by the lightning-strikes moving very quickly across the sky once the storm arrives in the beginning of the video. Also with this storm was flooding rain as you can see in the video it was pouring pretty hard! After the storm passed we get a very neat lightning show from the backside of the storm along with some loud thunder! It was pretty late at night when this storm hit my location so I'm sure it woke everyone up if they wasn't already awake watching the news cause my local weather station actually went live and covered the storm as it hit because of the strong winds hitting the area. This storm had a tornado warning just before it got to my location but once it hit my area it was only a severe thunderstorm warning because the rotation they were tracking had disappeared. That is AMAZING!!!! Did had serious storms this year, but none had winds speeds greater than 40mph and no hail so far, either. EPIC video of GREAT LIGHTNING, THUNDER, HEAVY RAINS STRONG WINDS!!!!

That looks like a 57MPH wind but other areas reported 80 MPH

We don’t get a lot of thunderstorms in VT but when we do the echo down the Connecticut River Valley is vunderbar! With ASP and your storms I’m rethinking Arkansas 😬⚡️

I had something similar to this happen. It was in May of 2021, and I was kept up to date on how the storm was approaching and this was like early in the morning. It came from the north bringing a hidden squall line and straight-line winds with it. Not long after the storm was over, a lot of trees were uprooted and it turns out that we had an EF-0 touch down in my hometown. It was quite crazy.

@@1018weathershit I’m scared of thunder and lightning when I was real little I was in a car after our baseball game got rained out and lightning struck a light pole that was about at MOST 10 feet it was by far the loudest sound I’ve ever heard by far nothing even compares to it
