As someone returning to the game, not having played any pandaria after the first month or so (capped my main, my panda and then got bored of the grind). Yes you can do this, i actually usually stack up a max Divine Aegis on the pulling tank before pull and power word: shield for a sexy 300-400k bubble for the pull. and if im not mistaken the damage they take goes into the smallest bubble/absorb that they have at the time.

Worth pointing out that Spirit Shell stacks with itself up to 60% of the caster's health. That can make a *huge* difference. SS and PoH a few times to put a huge shield on everyone, or SS and GH or FH to suddenly add a huge chunk to the tank's effective HP. DA stacks on top of that, so if you Inner Focus a GH and then SS, you can really insulate the tank to a trouble spot.

Open with Holy fire then Smite till the DoT of Holy fire wears off, then Penance (the mob/boss). The channel of Penance will end at around the time Holy fire comes off CD. So you can repeat as a rotation. Casting shield on tank before the Penance will decrease your channel time. Penance used on a Mob rather than an ally works well because the Penance can Attonement heal 3 different targets. 1 per charge of Penance as apose to healing 1 person directly with all 3 charges.

Noob disc priest here, not max level yet: I find "from darkness comes light" procs invaluable for quickly reducing the debuff and reapplying PW:S under heavy tank damage. Tanks in normal mists dungeons routinely go through their PW:S in a single second when they pull too much. Is that not a valid tactic or is the balance of the class different at max level so it's not needed as much?

Depends on what your raid needs obviously and your play style. I very much prefer disc where as my wife swears by holy. Holy has bigger heals but with disc you find you dont need the big heals as its preventitive. Holy is reactive healing, disc is proactive if that makes sense.

not necessarily, my disc priest is crit/mastery, mastery helps out ALOT on intense fights like malkorok where you absolutely NEED shields.

Get around 12k spirit then pure crit ,i got 32% crit and divine aegis is just pewpew , keep pom up also inner focus with poh then just spam smite , this is for 10man, my partner is monk

right now attonement is insane especially in T14 content i basically healed all of sha of fear with attonement. i think it was roughly 82%

A few things that are a little bit misleading. You say smite healing is inefficient when smite is cheaper than the heal spell when at 5 stacks of evangelism. Also mentioning using penance on the enemy for AOE healing would have been nice, other than that perfect and fun guide.

i heard that you said the worst stats are haste, dont agree with ya. You want to stack as much Crit and hast as possible, atlest in 10man, i dont rly see any point going mast. cus the only thing im doing as disc in 10man is smite, POM sheilds who ever who is low on health, my healing partner dose the rest rly, but yeah we can talk about it all day xD. but in 10man go for crit/haste

It's worth noting you said smite only healed for 23k but that is reduced 50% so healing on another player would be around 46k :)

Absorption is counted in overall healing in Recount. I don't use Skada so if that's what your referring to you may be right. As far as Recount is concerned, Absorption is counted in overall heals as well as heals per sec. I was not outhealed in 5.1 either. Preacher does not post this stuff for shits n giggles. He plays the game and plays the classes before he just runs off at the mouth. Be a bit more intuitive next time. Oh and WoL does not calculate skill/latency. There is no better spec.

Viable but boring. More so in 25s then 10s, but PoH spam was the way to play for disc in 25s. There were raids that were taking a disc priest ONLY for the damage reduction through DA and SS.

First of all read 5.1!! ToT is 5.2!!! Divine aegis was guaranteed on PoH casts in 5.1 = 100 shield uptime! Point 2 the disc priest you outheal does not represent overall Disc healing. Want a real point go to WoL healing, Point made.
