I have a mage. It's level 68 on a low pop server and it's alliance. Thanks to you I rolled a blood DK and it's awesome. After I cap it at 90 I'll level a mage, to substitute my already lvl90 shadow priest.

Alter Time restores buffs, true, and restores the duration left on them - therefore, you can use it to gain an extra 6 seconds of Timewarp/Bloodlust/Heroism, which is also useful in raids.

I love fire Mage. One thing I'd add is to try to line up alter time with a Pyro! proc. That way you get your extra 6 seconds of buffs and a free pyroblast when you jump back.

pyroblast is no longer included in combustion and pom changes the entire opener, you also want to keep casting fireball even when you have both a pyroblast and a heating up proc releasing the pyro with the fireball, because they hit simultaneously it will calculate on your heating up twice. Meaning if one crits you'll have another pyro, if both you'll have another pyro and heating, and if none obviously you'll have nothing

On his website (which is in the description) he has a download link to his UI, and a video on this channel showing how to set it up, but if you want to set it up yourself, like I did: Unit Frames: Pitbull, Action Bars: Bartender, DPS Meter: Skada, Nameplates: TidyPlates, Buffs: rBuff He has a lot of other addons but they are the main ones that are immediately visible.

Make sure with your aoe rotation you're still weaving in your single target spells too, fireball and pyro and inferno etc, living bomb and combust are for the additional enemies, maintain constant spellcasting always.

Fire mages are still very powerful despite the changes. I top the meters on almost every boss fight that I am allowed to focus on 1 target. With boss fights that allow me to spread dots I pull ahead insanely over other classes. Dps doesn't really matter when you level anways. Get to full level and once you get your crit percentage up you'll see a really high dps increase.

scorch for movement heavy raids. most raids have Aoe/raid damage. incanter's ward will serve fine as well as help your healers in return for a slight dps decrease. better alive than dead

small note Cauterize = 300% of ur hp pool cap so if its intended to kill you cant squize it.

I love fire. I have always been a proud hot head. its sucks that in MoP it got totally nerfed. Frost is now the strongest with fire as the weakest. I truly hate how they did that to fire since I always had so much fun with fire. I hope in WoD they will make fire the top dog again or at least better than it is now.

use the script "/script SetCVar("cameraDistanceMax",30)" in the chat window. you can enter whatever number instead of 30 to suit your liking. just make sure not to use the quotation marks

I find that using alter time to cast an extra pyro before your opening combust is actually a better dps increase then the extra 4 secs of trink procs( i know its 6 seconds but i use a fireball then pyro alter then pyro so the alter time is up for about 2 secs so thats why i said 4 seconds) then combust to power it up just a thought would be awesome if you could reply to me and tell me what you think about this.

Hey I currently have a lvl 50 spriest and a lvl 50 frost/fire mage and still havent decided which I like more. I love them both so far, but I want to just lvl one of them to 90 because I really don't have time for both. Which one do you recommend for max lvl? Please respond.

Now. I have one major problem with this video. It is a DpS loss to gem the way you gemmed. You either go crit on every gem, or Int on every gem. There is no in between. If you are using 320 crit gems and also using pure int gems, you are losing DPS. Both are viable, but you cant mix and match.

You need to get haste to12.5% while fully raid bufed so your combustion and other dt spells tick more times, no?
